The best location ever, It was like being wrapped up in medieval history!

The location was first prize, in an ancient street among medieval houses and across the road from the medieval cathedral. Milly, the host, in the vintage shop downstairs was very kind and friendly. The flat has old world charm.

The toilet was downstairs from the bedroom, so was tricky to use in the middle of the night and the door didn't close properly. Communication with the host beforehand was difficult because of the language barrier, up until we reached the property we had no communication and didn't know if we would be met or not. As it turns out the shop downstairs was open and Milly had keys for us.

Not great but not that bad

I appreciate that this property was artsy because of the eclectic decor, however some of the linens/towels seemed a little too dated.

There was no toilet paper at all, or paper towels in the kitchen. Not sure if this is a French thing. Also, some of the stored dishes/ utensils were dirty (had caked on food). I washed the dishes and utensils before we used them. It was difficult to contact the host for meeting to get into the property, he was not very responsive via email/ text. He was nice when we met him. We did not bother to ask him for toilet paper after we found out there was none, because we were going to the minimart anyway to buy groceries so we just bought a few rolls.

Location, Location, Location

The apartment was very comfortable and charming. We couldn't have asked for a better location in a wonderful town with a beautiful church right out the front windows. The kitchen was very well equipped with far more than we would ever use. The living room couches were super comfortable and nice to relax on after a day of traveling around. The owner met us at the door and was extremely welcoming and friendly. I'm happy to recommend La Bonne Etoile for your visit to Vernon.

Perfect location in a nice old house

Very nice owner and the city of Vernon is beautiful with Monet' garden close by and other attractions. The house is very old but well-kept and renovated. Lo qtion if perfect 👌

Old house has its downsides but they are expected as it is old house. Street noise, church bells, etc can be heard inside but that is part of city life.

Fantastic Experience with a Great Host

I had a great stay! The style of the house was very nice and thoughtfully designed. Everything was spotless—very clean and well maintained. The location was perfect, making it easy to get around and explore. The host was lovely and took the time to explain everything clearly, which made check-in and the overall stay super smooth. Highly recommend!

Great start to our exploration of Normandy! Vernon is a very charming village!

We loved the location. We were able to walk around easily and visit Monet's garden (a 10 minute drive away). We were close to a delicious boulangerie for coffee and a croissant in the morning. Our host Millie was very helpful in her suggestions and responses to our questions. Highly recommend La Bonne Etoile!

Quaint and centrally located.

It is a quaint french town house full of personality. It is in an awesome location close to the weekly markets and supermarket. It was a great base to set off and explore all that the local country side had to offer. It is in a very quiet part of town and the river is close by. The hosts daughter was lovely and helped us alot.

Some of the personality took a little to get use too, example stove and shower pressure. Parking was interesting but once we sorted it out it was good. Parking station just 2 minutes away cost max 8€ for a full day/night.

Very authentic bohemian apartment on the heart of Vernon. Gives you the feel of the real French way of life. Felt like staying in a friends home. Thanks for the local experience

The gos had some difficulty navigating to this tiny one way street and we did drive around the block a few times. Also the stairs were a little steep but good exercise after all those bolongerie visits.

Gorgeous house, so tasteful and accommodating - a beautiful home.

Such a beautifully well appointed townhouse - very tastefully coordinated with high quality everything. We were very well looked after by our host and enjoyed the history and family art legacy!

We really could not fault this property - as a stop over in Vernon. It was 10 mins drive from Monet's place and the parking was literally at the end of the road! The only negative was that the town square was being dug up - nothing to be done about that.:)

Lovely house, helpful host.

This is a lovely little house bang in the centre of Vernon but really peaceful and quiet. All character is intact and unspoilt. I don't think the pictures do it justice. Clement is a friendly and helpful host.

A minor thing possibly but I like blackout curtains or blinds.

Rude and aggressive hosts.

The location is nice however there are very loud church bells next door that ring all the time.

The host was very rude and aggressive. They counted my seven-year-old daughter as an extra person and made me walk four blocks to pay them extra cash. Both the wife and husband were unkind and rude. The husband got in my face and made me uncomfortable being so aggressive. I am a single woman traveling with my kids and mom and am very upset. I have stayed all over the world and have never had people treat me like this.

Fast ein ganzes Haus stand uns zur Verfügung. Die Wohnung war vollständig und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Küche war super gut ausgestattet. Das Haus ist sehr alt und natürlich ist nicht alles perfekt, aber das nimmt man für den Charm, den es ausstrahlt, gerne in Kauf. Wir habe uns richtig zu Hause gefühlt. Das Bad war großzügig und modern eingerichtet.

Большое разнообразие посуды, специй, масло, сахар, кофе, чай, конфитюры.Ароматное постельное белье и полотенца! Хозяйка встретила нас возле входа, отнеслась очень доброжелательно, все рассказала и показала. Парковка в 5 минутах ходьбы, платная.

Муравьи в гостиной на полу и на столе. Не нашли фен, хотя он был в описании. Нам был он очень нужен.
