Rock n Rome - Piazza di Spagna - Via del Babuino

The location is excellent - right on Via Del Babuino, very central but still quiet. The apartment is comfortable for 1 person (maximum 2). It's actually more of a studio (you walk in, hallway, kitchenette on left, in front is bed, on right is bathroom). The wi fi is good, strong. The water pressure in the shower was also good. Marco, the owner did confirm that the apartment is small but it's much smaller than the photo. Great location for someone not fussy and wants to be in the center. Marco did offer to share recommendations etc. if I needed it.

The price point. A bit on the high end but it's July in Rome, in the center. The apartment did not provide enough garbage bags and toilet paper. I reached out to Marco (owner) about changing sheets/replenishing items and he said because this was a "vacation home" they don't provide that service but since I'm staying 13 days, he sent a cleaner. I've stayed in other "vacation homes" in Rome, around the corner and this is not true. Cleaning is done by two young men so it can be improved. I hung one of the hand towels on the rack and it came away with dirt (see photo). More hooks in the studio/bathroom to hang things would be nice and more outlets for plugs. The day of my arrival/check in, Marco came to greet me at the door. I had a medium size suitcase and a blue duffel bag. He took the blue duffel bag (i.e. smaller and lighter item) which I thought was cheeky considering that he's an average height man and I am 5 feet 1! He watched me maneuvered the suitcase across the cobblestone street and into the building. Thank god they had an elevator!

I liked the comfort, space and privacy of the room. The location was great - right in the heart of everything - and access to Netflix made good value for money.

the shower temperature was temperamental and the hot water was intermittent.
