The location (Fonni) was very good for walking, albeit the property location is a bit awkward, especially for parking.
The property was clean.
The shower had enough water for two people to shower one after the other, and it had good pressure.
The property has got aircon in the main room and the bedroom.
Parking is first-come first-served, on a tiny little street outside the property. There is no private parking, you just have to turn up and hope there is space. Be very careful if you park at the top of the road, just outside the property itself, because it seems to me the local drivers cannot negotiate a simple turn without hitting something - our hire car was scratched twice while parked outside!
The property has no fire extinguisher, no fire blanket, no first aid kit and no smoke alarm.
The windows have bars, and there is only one entry/exit door, straight onto the street - there is no path, so be very careful when you exit, as some drivers seem to treat the little alley roads as a race track. Noisy cars and motorbikes zoom past at all hours.
There is no dishwasher or washing machine, which is a bit awkward, as there is little space to wash up in the kitchen area itself. No oven, but there is a microwave with the grill option. Otherwise, the kitchen was well equipped for our stay. There is virtually nothing in Fonni itself, so don't expect to find a laundrette if you are looking to stay for more than a week or so.
We paid just under €1000 for a week, which we felt was quite expensive given how small the property is.
The owner kept visiting every couple of days, which we found slightly intrusive, because we are generally quite private people. Yes, it was handy getting new towels, but maybe just leave them in the room beforehand?
