Lots of character. Having the wood burner on was lovely. Our son had come to take pictures at the Mach Loop and this was an ideal place to stay.

Great location for me as I wanted to visit the Mach Loop all week and Gigrin Farm to picture Red Kites
Property was fine but needs a bit of TLC. The settee and chair in the living room was horribly uncomfortable and needs replacing ASAP. The main staircase was awkward and I Actually fell down it hurting myself.

Beautiful location with lots of lovely walks to explore nearby. Useful leaflets with maps in the cottage. Owners are easy to communicate with and very helpful and knowledgeable of the local area.
Carpet could do with a deep clean to get rid of the dust and dog hair. A few things feel like they could do with some tlc or replacing.

Love the original features of the beautiful cottage.
Tucked away in the little village of dinas mawddwy.
We were greeted by the host as I couldn't find the property, even with her directions. Were shown around their property, and left to enjoy our stay.
Although I had no children with me on this occasion, the bedroom with the bunk beds was well equipped to keep kids entertained with beautiful classic books, Lego and puzzles
Stairs were terrifying lol, but in keeping with the cottage.
This would not stop me visiting again as it was beautiful there

One suggestion- a cafetière would be handy

Nice cottage and good to see that owners have retained its original charm.

Great views. Warm house. Good internet as there no phone signal for my phone. Opposite the pub which served excellent food.
I was anxious about slipping on the path up to the house.

Lots of books to browse. A great wood burner, made the room very cosy. A deep bath.
Waking up to a mountain outside the window. Friendly owner. A coffee shop a few doors away, which was open on a Sunday too. Lots of way marked paths straight from the cottage, lots to explore and stunning beaches a 45 minute drive away
Some of the light bulbs didn’t work. The bed dipped a little in the middle. The cottage is right on the flight path of the Mach Loop and the planes flying over head during week days were deafening which really spoilt the experience for me personally

We picked Chapel Cottage mainly for the area as it's close to mach loop, the lakes, lovely walks, and visited 2 beaches. The cottage was just adorable. So much character. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Dog friendly as we had 3 dogs. Nice welcome from Paul and Alex. Very helpful giving information out for places to visit and to eat out. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
There was nothing to dislike other than perhaps some outside lighting at night in the courtyard

Lovely friendly and helpful couple who have a delightful little dog and they left us feeling we’d always known them.
Great for dogs, nicely laid out cottage and great array of books. Pretty front garden, lots of birds and the neighbours seem nice.
Very quiet and peaceful. Lovely play park and great Sunday roast at the Red Lion.
Need a hand rail on the stairs up to the bedrooms

Alex was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome, stunning location and her cottage was superb. We did not want for anything whatsoever. If I could give a higher star rating, I would. We highly recommend to everyone.

Great location
The heating didn’t come on in the morning, but we did light the fire which soon warmed the house up

The cottage was quirky with lots of old world charm, interesting furnishings, books and artwork. The hosts were lovely, friendly and helpful. The cottage was clean, very well equipped, and located in the heart of the village close to a friendly local pub, cafe and lovely walks. It was pet friendly too.
Our party was happy with our stay but we were aware that it would have been less suitable for guests with mobility problems. The stairs were steep, and the lovely traditional bath with overhead shower was great but would have been difficult for those with physical impairments.

Location brilliant, incredible views, kitchen well equipped, bathroom brilliant, huge bath, and lovely powerful shower, heating was very good, even coming back on a cold wet day, the cottage was warm
Lack of comfort in living room, eg. Sofa too small for two adults, no occasional tables two put glasses or cups on,no bedside tables, for reading lights, no hooks on bathroom door to hang clothes or dressing gowns on , lock needs adjusted.

What a wonderful place to stay. Myself and my partner booked as a last min getaway just as a base. We are landlocked midlanders and wanted to see both sea and mountains. This property was booked as it is a perfect location.. What was to be just a place to rest turned into a fantastic surprise.. such a cosy, well designed interior. A fabulous warming fire, amazing bath, beautiful view of a mountain. The little attentions, provided by a warm host, were very much welcomed. Tea, coffee, oxo cubes, washing pod in the machine, books galore, so many to mention but they made a difference..stayed only for one night but we most definitely long to return!

Location of property was as described. Lots of space within the property. Lovely fire in the lounge.
No heating, no working hot water tap in the bathroom, lack of hot water. Dusty and unclean bedding. Clumps of dust in the bedding and blood on the cover.

This cottage is full of charm and set in a very pretty, tiny Welsh village. I absolutely adored it. Two nights was not enough!
I'm hoping that we can book again in the future, I miss it!

Perfect for our visit (me, husband and 10 yr old son) to the Red Bill Hardline event which was in walking distance. Lovely pub over the road where we ate both nights and cafe also very close but we didn’t visit. Owners were incredibly welcoming, communicated well ahead of our arrival and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Parking in the road was safe and easy. Despite property details there is wifi!

Nice rustic feel to the place.
Electrics a little eccentric.
