We have been holidaying here for over 20 years as the owners of Oak House are family members so we normally go to all our favourite places during our stay that we have enjoyed with our children (now Adults!) over these years. Catching up with the Dyfi Osprey Project is always number one on the List!
As always the weather!

The location was very central. 15 minutes walk to the opera house. The park was nearby. The cottage was spacious and very well furnished with solid furniture, some of which had obviously been reclaimed and upcycled appropriately for the style of the cottage. The kitchen was modern and had very good appliances.
I would have liked a downstairs toilet and a freezer.

Nothing....it was convenient for our restaurant visit
Dated furnishings , poor shower facilities.
A tired property. No logs for wood burner. Description of property does not say it is in a cul-de-sac of poor quality housing.

We've staying in the property before and would stay again if we're in the area so enough said other than the fireplace was a useful feature on a horribly wet and cold January weekend
There were a few more steps ahead of the booking that were a pain such as having to provide photo ID and credit card details to pay for any 'damages'. For GDPR's sake I'd like to think these were deleted afterwards.

Location was very close to the town - 5 minute walk. It was very quiet, very relaxing and parking for 1 car outside the house was great
Could not find anything to criticise

The house was very comfortable and has a lovely homely atmosphere. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped.
The bathroom and downstairs toilets needed a little updating - toilet seats were loose and the downstairs one would be better with a bolt.

£114 for cleaning is far too much as the property was not spotless. Tell the cleaner that sweet wrappers and cobwebs count as part of the cleaning process.

Oak House is the perfect home away from home. Cosy, with lots to keep us entertained and a really well appointed kitchen.

Comfortable beds. Well equipped. Books and games were a bonus. Quiet location. Shops within walking distance. Beaches 20 minutes away. Communication from hosts excellent.
Sofa and chair a bit tired. Needed a hoover under cushions. But owners responded immediately to our complaint.

The house was spacious and well equipped. It is much nicer than it looks from the photos on the website.
It's situated in a lovely location with a parking space, and is a short walk into the town or to the station. It also has a large garden with a washing line and table and chairs.
There was lots of information about the house and the local area.
We will be back for another visit.
There was nothing I didn't like.

The house was absolutely spotlessly clean, toasty warm, plenty of hot water, great water pressure in the shower, and it was great to have good quality appliances (oven, dishwasher, washing machine).
The beds were really comfy with crisp white bedding and plenty of fresh towels - highly recommended!
Location was perfect for a short walk / drive into the village, the large Co-op Country store has everything needed and more, including clothes.
It’s homely, but with everything in perfect clean working order.
It is perfectly located 10 mins drive / 15 min cycle from Dyfi Bike Park !!
It was all great. remember to bring some Washing up liquid !

A very nice house, comfortable and clean. Nice locality. Well equipped
Did not like the system for checking in and out on line. Not everyone has devices and expertise to do this and I found it stressful. You cannot always rely on signal to communicate - this is true of many changes these days.9

lovely property, nice and warm when we arrived with a fire already made up, nice facilities and comfy beds. great location near the town and local shops.

I didn’t really like any of it, the estate reminded me of ex local authority housing, I thought paying £250 a night it would of been a bit nicer, no Comfort or luxury items at all, master bedroom bed was very small, no TV in the bedrooms, it was nice and warm though and very clean. I ended up sleeping on the sofa so my husband could try to sleep comfortably. I would not stay there again. We only slept there as was visiting family close by so the convenience of location was the only good thing.
everything mentioned above plus the garden also it is overlooked so no privacy and the parking space for a large car is not very easy with a extremely prickly bush at the front door to battle with. the decor is bad, the furniture is old, the bedrooms doors don’t shut properly, everything is old not quaint.

Beds were comfortable
After speaking to the manager (Chelsea) about a number of issues regarding the property she did sort things out.
1 Poor communication. not only of yourselves but the staff member I spoke to regarding the property.
We were already away on holiday before going to Oak house when we received a message on the Sunday Morning 20th June that our holiday had been cancelled. we checked your web site and found it available again so we rebooked. After that I contacted the Property again and was told that the system had gone down on the Friday the 18th June No communication from yourself again. Spoke to one of your agents on the Monday in regard to information for the code for entrance to the property and told we would receive the info from you Nothing"" Arrived at the house about 2.30 pm Rang the Property again, told we were to early and had to wait until 3.15pm and eventually we were given the code number.
Untidy outside front and the rear of property. Not worth the grading given.
Totally distressed over the whole weekend trying to sort things out.
