Westhaven One

Our second stay at Westhaven One, and our third year in this building - the location and space is amazing! Huge sofas so no one is on top of you! The fans were a great addition too in the heat. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need and having two bathrooms is super handy. We also appreciate the instructions ahead of arriving and the key is easy to access. The team are always quick to reply too, either before your stay on when you are there. The location means that you don’t need to move your car to enjoy what Aberdyfi has to offer - you can really relax and unwind.

It’s starting to look ‘old’ - and doesn’t quite live up to the luxury branding. In one year since we last stayed you can see the difference. Having the small double in the larger bedroom and the king sized in the small bedroom always baffles me too. The WiFi doesn’t reach the large bedroom, and Vodafone didn’t have coverage either, so that was a little frustrating. A really small thing - please provide some cleaning spray and a new can opener. That’s not going to bother everyone though! We will be back next summer!

Excellent communication with the host and the gift basket on arrival was welcome. They even purchased some fans to ensure we had a more comfortable stay. The location was important so we could enjoy the beach and shops and were not reliant upon using the car. The parking permit helped avoid parking fees in the nearby car park. Excellent facilities in the kitchen, and we loved the ice maker! There are also several great places locally to eat out when avoiding cooking.

We enjoyed a relaxed stay in the ground floor property, and a more active time exploring the local area, but the transition between involved a set of five steep steps at the entrance with only one handrail. There’s nothing the Hosts can do about this but I’m adding it for anyone else who needs to consider mobility issues when booking. Getting the key from the hidden keybox involves a narrow set of steep steps too. Fabulous power shower in the main bathroom but no grab handles, which would benefit all users, especially the elderly.
