We booked four nights, but left after two, and found other better accommodation.

Pretty cottage from the outside, and in a good location.

The first impression of the cottage was the smell, it has a musty, mildewy smell throughout. There is actual mould in places. The window frames have black mould, The bathroom smells particularly bad, with a large damp patch behind the door with peeling paint. I understand it is a seaside cottage, which is dog friendly, so it must have had a lot of wet dogs and wet beach things coming in and out. The smells are masked with air freshener and Glade (there was an empty container of Glade under the kitchen sink so it had clearly been well used). But this masking makes the mildew smell worse as it adds an unpleasant chemical smell on top of everything. The pedestrian alley that the cottage is on is loud with other holiday renters.

Short break

Lovely little cottage in a quiet location. It's close to local shops and cafes/pub. A few minutes walk to the beautiful beach. Easy walking distance to the train station. The cottage had all you needed for a break away. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. We didn't use the garden but it was easy to access. The owners were easy to contact and very helpful. Would definitely stay again

Need better descriptions on booking.com

There wasnt private parking as mentioned on booking.com, it was actually public parking which requires a permit (permit is supplied) to which is a bit of a walk to and from. So for someone who struggles with walking that was very difficult to deal with and unexpected. I wouldn't have booked if I'd have known the parking wasn't private ie on site. When a description states private parking it gives the impression that the property has parking available on the property, so this really needs to be highlighted further in the description box. Also on a separate note there are photos that show an outdoor space but it turns out the pictures are for an outdoor space but it isn't attached to the property, you have to walk up some hill to access it. Again that needs to be described further in the description box as I also booked based on somewhere I thought I could let my dog out on without me having to walk him there everytime he needed a pee. Very difficult and inconvenient for someone who struggles with walking yet again.

Highly recommend cosy cottage near the sea. Beautiful!

Beautiful cosy cottage. Great location 2 minute walk to the beach. Communication with host and information provided was great. Bottle of Prosecco and cake waiting for us. Faultless stay. Would love to return

No major problems. No space to park outside the property, even to unload. Not a problem for us, but could be for others with limited mobility. There was not room for the sofa bed to extend without moving the settee, which made the front room cramped. Appeared to be no oven gloves

Had a lovely stay. Very relaxing. Right by the beach. Lovely log fire. Comfortable and cozy. Wish we could of stayed longer. Hosts answered straight away. All in all 10 out of 10.

Fantastic break away

Fantastic homely cottage very comfortable. The cafe at the bottom of the street was lovely only downside to the cafe was it was quite small and if its busy you have to wait outside for a table.

Not a great deal for kids in the area bar the beach and a park however a short train ride to another area the was amusements
