A great location in Dolgellau, ideal for walkers, hikers, or aviation geeks checking out the Mach Loop. The property itself is really cute, quirky and cosy, with lots of aviation memorabilia. Ideal for two, or if you had small children with you. The bed is very comfy and the cooking facilities are just enough for a short stay. The heaters make it very cosy and it was such a relaxing getaway. The shower/toilet are full size too, which was a bonus. There's a big Spar store with parking just a few seconds away. Ample parking area is great. Yes, the aircraft is a little tired, but we guessed that - she was decommissioned a while ago - so is a grand old lady now, and we think she's rather lovely. We wish we'd stayed more than just the one night, but now we have a feel for the area, we'll be back.
Nothing to report that we didn't like particularly, only that was a little tricky to find, but by using What3Words ///upward.commented.scores, and navigate by Google maps, that will take you to the parking space outside the fence. Remember to lock the gate once you are inside. We had a random couple appear outside and look in when we were unpacking.

What an amazing idea! Yes it's an old plane so certainly won't compare to staying in a 5* hotel but a once in a lifetime experience. The aircraft retains much of its original features and loved the Mach loop and local Dolgellau town is beautiful.
Should have stayed longer !

Unique, comfortable stay with some great local hiking trials. Particularly loved the original light up cockpit
Local internet wasn't amazing but host had already mentioned this so can't complain too much
