Lovely and relaxing place to stay with a family. The house is very comfortable and has all the amenities we needed. The town of Alpirsbach is beautiful with everything close by. There is a brewery, monastery, good walks, outdoor swimming pool, supermarkets. We would recommend staying here.

The stairs are steep but not a problem.

An absolutely stunning historic house, renovated sympathetically but with all the mod cons. We cannot rate it more highly. On a side road in the centre of town so lovely and quiet, but all the town amenities literally on your door stop. The house is over three and a half floors (our teenage son loved his top floor bedroom in the rafters). The kitchen has everything you need and more. - three different kinds of coffee makers for example, it is obvious the owners want you to feel at home! There are lots of little touches that elevated the house and our experience; a wonderfully generous welcome basket; coffee, tea and enough toilet paper for the week; essential oils for the sauna; a pass to allow free transportation on trains and buses; dog beds and a basket full of dog blankets and bowls etc. The enclosed garden was also perfect for our dogs. The town itself is beautiful and well worth visiting, the local area stunning with stunning walks. In our week stay we went on a train ride through the Black Forest, went to a thermal spa, visited a German Market with the largest Advent Calendar, visited the Worlds largest Cuckoo Clock, saw waterfalls and walked for miles and miles. We hadn't visited the area before and took a bit of a gamble. We are so glad we did and chose the perfect house to call home for the week. You won't be disappointed if you stay here. This is obviously a host who really wants you to have the best experience and takes a huge amount of pride in their house and holiday experience.
