The Old Pumphouse Shepherds Hut with Hot Tub

Everything was nice comfy bed. Nice location. Cosy. Appreciated the electric heater as we were terrible at starting a fire to keep warm. Never mind cook. But that's our fault and we had lots of fun trying. Hot tub was a great addition. Head cusion flys off when jets start. But easily put back when switched jet off.. I enjoyed the stay and experience. Would recommend for peaceful escape in winter.

Check in time in winter of 4pm is a bit late. By the time your in and got warm its dark and bed time. Check out of 10am is ok I guess. But the times feel a little much and rushed. After fully paid and booked on here. Received a nice message from owner 3 months later offering if I paid direct would be slightly cheaper and 3pm check in. Sadly as already paid too late an offer for me. However. I know it doesn't take 5 or6 hrs to clean a hut and possibly hot tub. This would be my only criticism.

So cosy! location is great. The hut is decorated beautifully for the holidays. Toilets are separate outside within a 2-3 steps walk but it wasn’t too much of an issue because it doesn’t get unbearably cold outside. The hut is nearby most major supermarkets within 7 minutes drive. Hiking and rock climbing spots nearby. Good amenities and the hot tub is a lovely addition. Very clean and well kept. Instant hot water available. Easy to keep warm indoors as there’s good insulation. Lovely selection of books and board games to tackle boredom since no TV or cellular service. Friendly neighbours.

It’s in a residential area, reconsider if ultimate privacy is the expectation. Though neighbours are very friendly and it’s a quiet area.

The cabin itself was really nice, location was perfect, unique stay and addition of hot tub was really nice.

We couldn’t get the shower to get warm (even following instructions) Very very dark at night so lighting couldn’t be improved. Wouldn’t usually mind this but paying £180 a night basically I would personally think it should be slightly better.

Location was perfect as we walk the Roaches a few times a year. Pub located 5 mins walk which was brilliant. The shepherds hut was clean and tidy on our arrival. It was stocked well with kitchen appliances including a coffee maker! It was convenient to make breakfast but not a main meal at dinner. It was next to a water fall and the garden area was lovely even though the weather was too wet to sit outside in the evenings. We did a good nights sleep as no cats to wake us up!

The shower hut needed attention and upgrading Although the shower was good and water hot. There was a large crack in the shower base and the tiles seemed to be coming off the walls as the grout was missing. The taps were on the wrong way on the sink both in the shower hut and the kitchen sink. I felt the sink was too big for the hut taking up room to dry yourself after the shower.
