Part of an Edwardian castle with two thousand acres of grounds surrounding, this apartment lets you embrace the life of the aristocracy, just on a slightly smaller scale. Many of the original features remain, such as the stripped-back blond hardwood floor and the bespoke Art Deco spiral staircase, and there are a few antique pieces, like the Persian rug, the range of beds and the upcycled wood-burner stove. That being said, the interior feels thoroughly modern and is a lovely place to return to after being a long day in the great outdoors. There's a lot to discover within the grounds of the estate, from waterfalls and lochs to beaches and walled gardens. Perhaps best of all, it's possible to get meals cooked by the castle's 3AA-Rosette head chef delivered to your front door, as well as personalised bouquets from the in-house florist.
