Villa Eugénie Melun

Claude and Marie were very and responsive hosts. We enjoyed two rooms to use, each with their own bathroom. The rooms were clean and quiet. The location was central in Melun. Parking is available in front of their house.

I really appreciated the welcome, the location of the house, the cleanliness and the breakfast.

That we got to leave the next day

In my opinion, The room was terribly crowded, impossible to move, we were in one room which was large but had so many things irrelevant to our stay that it bothered us to move. The house has creaking floor that made sounds every time we moved. In the room description was mentioned that it has kitchen utilities in it but there was none, I brought to eat some items to eat after a long day, expecting to eat them with the kitchen facilities that were supposed to be in the room. The day after the landlady looked in the room while she passed by and expressed her displeasure on that. The toilet and shower were not in the room, again not mentioned in the room description that the shower and toilet are external to the room. Breakfast was poor, only tea / coffee and bread.  Terribly basic and not worth the price of breakfast. We were seated at breakfast at one table next to other guests and shared a table and we were uncomfortable Sleeping in this room is like sleeping in a museum At the entrance she demanded that we enter without the shoes and go barefoot, the first time of all in all my 20 years as a tourist in hundreds of guest houses that I've been asked to do that. She also asked us to leave the keys of the car at the entrance to make sure we dont escape with the vehicle. In our opinion the landlady should not rent the house, when a person rents a room he/she should be prepared to receive their guests and not resent every little thing they do that is not to his/her liking.

Excellent séjour chez Claude et Marie-Helene, ils sont très sympathiques, le séjour était très agréable, ils sont de surcroît très arrangeants, je recommande vivement !

Die Lage

Das Zimmer/Apartment war nicht abschließbar. Das Frühstück war eine Katastrophe! Cirka 7 Gläser mit Marmelade/Honig, die halbvoll/ fast leer waren, standen auf dem Tisch. Margarine und Brot würde dazu gereicht sowie ausreichend Kaffee.

Accueil des plus chaleureux, un petit déjeuner très agréable et une chambre confortable.

Hormis l'absence de toilettes dans la chambre, mais qui etait mentionné, rien a dire

Onhygiënische logies. Na een upgrade naar kamer met "eigen douche" gevraagd te hebben vertelde men me dat ik in de "naastgelegen" gite (le gîte à côté) een plek zou krijgen (+30€). Het was een ca 600m verder in de stad gelegen onzuiver appartement met helaas schimmelvlekken aan de douche en afgebladerde verf met ook onreine gang en inkomhal. Ik heb het pand verlaten en ben elders gaan slapen. Foto's op aanvraag beschikbaar.

La qualité de chambre d’hôtes. La souplesse des horaires.

Chambre d'hôtes très confortable et très bien meublée. Il y avait même une bouteille d'eau à ma disposition. La maison d'hôtes est idéalement située dans le centre ville de Melun, a quelques pas des péniches sur la Seine. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et prêts à rendre service. Le petit déjeuner était excellent. La salle de bain était à partager mais juste à côté de la chambre et très propre et meublée avec beaucoup de goût. Je recommande. C'est un endroit où j'aurais plaisir à revenir.
