Loved the decor, the location, was a fantastic place for some great pubs. Really well placed for shops, and we loved the Oat Shed. Perfect for dog owners and a family group.
Lovely place, but if there was one teeny tiny thing, it's the games. They have books and dominoes but no cards or monopoly.....I told you it was teeny tiny. So bring your own, it's not a big deal and sainsburys is nearby to buy a game.

It was really homely and comfortable. It has a lovely outside space to sit in the evening and we enjoyed watching a cricket match. It was clean and there was useful information and the response time to communication with the hosts were great. Well situated with having a large Sainsbury’s almost opposite.
Nice and quiet location.
Some of the doors were not great at closing ie toilet, lounge. It wasn’t major, just could do with some attention.
The numbers had rubbed off on the oven so it was a guessing game as to the temperature.

Host was accessible and responsive. Unbeknownst to us, neighborhood power was out. We phoned the host who sent someone around to see why the washer was giving an error message. We left for the day but upon our return had a note saying what the issue was and that they’d reset everything in the home for us. Additionally we were asked to let them know if they’d missed anything or if we needed further help. The facilities were as advertised and beautifully clean. The home has recently been renovated and the amount of natural light coming in was fantastic. There were plenty of thoughtful touches like pegs for hanging laundry, tea bags/coffee, and toiletries to get us started. Internet and television were included. The house is on a street with minimal traffic, close to all kinds of shops, pubs, and restaurants and is a short distance to main bus stops into Nottingham, Langley Mill, Ilkeston, Hucknall, etc. The patio garden area is perfect for spending time watching the Kimberley Institute Cricket Club practice/play. You can hop the wall to sit on a bench on the boundary or take a short walk around to access a gate into the playing grounds.
There isn’t much not to like about this property. The shower can be tricky for two reasons. The first is the water temperature is hard to manage and you must make sure no one runs water or flushes the commode while you are showering. If they do, the water temperature fluctuates so quickly it can get unbearably hot. The second reason the shower is tricky is because it is very narrow. We are not heavy persons by any means but had to contort our bodies to enter the shower through narrow doors. (The solution is to use the tub which we did not.)
The only other fault of the property are the steps leading to the second floor. The steps were many and they weren’t deep. We had to go up the steps on our tiptoes and down by placing our feet sideways. (We were not traveling with young children or elderly but if we had been, it would be a concern.)

Spacious, well decorated and comfortable house. Good value, lovely space out back...overlooking cricket ground. Easy to park outside. Well located.. i was participating in a sporting event in Nottingham and it was a perfect base for me and my family to stay in. Peaceful, yet shops just round the corner
Kitchen could be a little better stocked (we like to cook)

Lovely little home, beautifully furnished and clean with lots of art deco touches but didn’t feel like a show home so you could relax! Spacious bedrooms and bathroom and fully equipped kitchen, the coffee machine was missing though, maybe it was broken? Didn’t ruin our stay!
On street parking was free and we were lucky to get a space right outside. The rainbow bus route takes around 30 mins to the city centre and is regular and the little village of Kimberley is nice with a few cafes and shops.
The owner was great at communicating and access was easy via the key box outside. I can imagine it’s lovely in the summer with a perfect view to the cricket going on behind the house.

Modern but with retro touches, very nicely decorated. Dog friendly and a handy small back yard.
Pub and shops a couple of minutes walk.
Good local walks.
No glass recycling (the council's fault not the owner☺️)

The house is a great location with tasteful decor, lovely back garden and on street parking.
The hosts were kind with good communication and graciously allow dogs.
Kimberly is a lovely village with all the facilities needed.
We would recommend a walk to the water tower and chapel on the hill.
Dog house and The Stag pubs were great, local sainsburys and parade of shops nearby.
Easy drive into Nottingham.
Some small snags reported to the hosts such as troublesome shower temp and poor lighting in bathroom, a shame these were missed ahead of our stay

Walled garden for the dog, wifi in the house (which was ideal as the O2 signal wasn't great). Plenty of space for the dog and we had no problems parking right out front.

A wonderful light and spacious house! The bathroom and kitchen were a little outdated but the extremely kind owner who created a nice warm atmosphere in the very clean house compensated it generously.

We're full-time travelers who have stayed in many, many properties, we had a good stay at the house. The furniture is very comfortable, including the bed - no worn sections anywhere which indicate it is in the early days of its useful life. The carpet also appears to be newer and has good padding, after staying in so many homes with hard floors our dogs loved sprawling out on it. The home is light and sunny with a great garden in the back. We didn't realize it backed onto a cricket pitch, this and the shorter walls contributed to making it spacious without losing any privacy.
We had a couple of questions for the owners, they responded quickly and thoroughly. They even graciously allowed us to have an item sent to them to ensure we received it.
We did not find parking to be a problem, we parked in front of the house the majority of the time. On the couple of occasions that we could not, there was a spot across the street or within one or two cars' distance. The street is one lane when cars are parked on both sides, I was concerned our Land Cruiser would be too wide but we parked right against (not on) the sidewalk, and larger vehicles than ours had no problems passing by.
We liked the location, it was easy to walk everywhere in town and right off a 'busy' road to easily go elsewhere.
The shower can be temperamental, the water is cold when it switches into low power mode. It happened enough that I'd find it bothersome for a very long stay but was fine for our 10 days.

close to all the amenities , nice and quiet

The house is beautifully furnished and clean, the beds were great and the garden/patio overlooking the cricket pitch is lovely.
The shower only seemed to have 2 settings, medival torture device or arctic expedition! The parking on street is very tight, but there is plenty of parking close by.

The ideal location, cozy ambience and decor everything was just mind blowing.
Nothing to mention.
