The artificial ponds are a big mosquito breeding ground and the rooms are swimming in them - bring a can of doom. The pillows are weird - bring your own. Hot water was not working, so they let me shower in a different unit. Just note on Friday nights there is a bar not too far away so you will hear music - it's not bad, but not 100% quiet.

Fellt like a true escape, quiet, rustic, and full of calm. The hosts were amazing, and everything from arrival to check-in flowed effortlessly. I’d absolutely come back, and next time I’d stay a little longer to soak it all in.

There were a few small things that could be improved, like the condition of the curtains and the cleanliness of the windows. But honestly, the overall experience still felt special.

The grounds and outside braai area were nice. Kitchen, fridge was basic but OK.

I expected rustic, what we got was more like the cheapest bare minimum. The bedding and curtains were threadbare. The bed was nasty. The pillows are those very cheap ones filled with cardboard type filling. The headboard was handmade and covered with grubby old material. The "hanging space" in the bathroom was two pieces of round bar banged in the wall. Wall shelves and bedside shelves were uneven pallet box wood. The oramentation was pieces of old tree branches cut and chopped and placed over lights and above the bed. They were dirty and dusty. The indoor bath was a concreted hole below the shower with black peeling paint. I wouldn't use it. This was a romantic getaway for my husband and I before I left to work back in the UK. We agreed to try and make the most of it but it was difficult, I didn't want to stay!!
