It was a bit of a faff getting into and out of the property due to it being behind locked gates.

Great little base for exploring Hermanus

Location was excellent

Some shelves/ a surface in the bathroom to put toilet bags etc would be good The duvet was too thick for summer. A thinner option or another blanket would be good All fine tuning though😄

Excellent, could not have been better

The cottage is very well situated. Within walking distance (less than 10 minutes) from the old harbour of Hermanus where there are a large number of restaurants, bars and small shops, and also lookout points and the cliff walk. Within walking distance (again less than 10 minutes) from some supermarkets such as the Pick n Pay and Carrefour. The cottage itself is cosy, clean, lots of space, well organised and quiet. And the manager/owner Unisi surprised us with a bottle of an excellent white wine. A gesture which was very much appreciated. If we return to Hermanus there is no doubt where we would like to stay !

Comfortable 1-bed cottage in an excellent location

Excellent location within short walk of the waterfront, but peaceful and quiet at night. Quite spacious, large comfortable bed. Bathroom reasonable sized and good shower. Small garden is a bonus. Host very helpful. Lots of eateries and cafes within a few minutes. Special should out to CanDs two minutes away on High Street, good coffee and their hashbrown supreme is excellent.

Location is central. We could walk to restaurants, museums, shops and the cliff path. We enjoyed complete privacy and really appreciate that.

Good location close to restaurants and shops. Nice little terrasse and a friendly cat visiting. Great surprise: The host had been shopping and provided some food for me to settle in. WiFi works fine, also for working.

There is no backup generator. During load shedding no electricity and WiFi. Still there is coworking close by and free city wifi working all the time.

Comfortable self-contained one room apartment, well located.

Big one room apartment, with bed/lounge/dining/kitchen, plus separate bathroom. All modern and comfortable. Two streets back from the beach, so pretty good location, walkable and safe with caution. Car was secure behind locked gates. Some snacks and milk provded free were appreciated. Close to our favourite restaurant in SA, The Pear Tree, you must go. Whales were aplenty in the bay when we went in mid September, great viewing from the shore, and our host helped us book a whale viewing cruise too.

Gas heater is unflued which made me nervous, no CO detectors visible. Gas bottle was empty when we arrived but issue was quickly remedied on request, within a few hours I think. Despite the features listed, there is no working TV. There is a TV, but it is not connected to any cable service or even an antenna for free to air TV. The apartment is good, but the site is sort of ugly, it is a room behind a commercial premises of some sort, and appliance store I think.

Leider etwas enttäuschend

Lage super. Sicherer Parkplatz direkt am Haus

Es war leider etwas muffig innen. Lässt sich leider schlecht lüften. Als wir dort waren war es sehr kalt nachts. Heizstrahler war vorhanden (Gas). Diesen wollten wir aber nachts während wir schlafen nicht laufen lassen. Daher war es morgens sehr kalt in der Wohnung und die Scheiben beschlagen. Im Sommer sicher etwas angemehmer dort, im Winter eher unangenehm. Wenn man die Kochplatte angemacht hat, hat es die Sicherung rausgehauen. Alles in allem merkt man an der Isolierung und der Elektrik, dass hier nicht der beste Standard verbaut wurde.

1A Lage und große Wohnung

Im Zentrum von Hermanus gelegen und dennoch schön ruhig. Sehr viel Platz und kleiner Garten. Bequemes Bett und modernes Bad. Der Kontakt mit der Eigentümerin war schnell und unkompliziert (über Booking und WhatsApp) - auch konnten wir direkt eine Waltour über sie reservieren.

Als wir die Wohnung betraten roch es stark nach feuchtem Keller. Das war später jedoch verflogen oder wir hatten uns daran gewöhnt. Die Einrichtung könnte besser aufeinander abgestimmt sein und damit mehr Gemütlichkeit ausstrahlen, aber für den Kurzaufenthalt absolut okay und letztlich ist Geschmack subjektiv :-)
