The Lodge At The Lake House

We were made very welcome and appreciated Sanne's attention to detail. There is access to a secluded, enclosed patio area plus the freedom to explore the enormous grounds; very peaceful location apart from occasionally vocal cockerels.

Though a good fan was provided within the property, in hot weather, an air conditioning unit would have enhanced our experience

We stayed here as it was close to the local event we were going to, it was a lovely and clean space with everything we needed. Sanne was incredible, welcomed us at the home and showed us around and even bought us a slice of cake they had made! They had left out some fruit, strawberries and prosecco as a welcome gift as well. Plenty to do around the home and in the local area. Would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a quiet place to stay and relax!

Lovely grounds with nice walks nearby. Sanne was a fantastic host – her homemade plum jam, tart, and fresh eggs were all delicious and a nice surprise.

The kitchen was basic—not ideal for cooking full meals but fine for a weekend stay. The pillows were large and quite firm; a softer, flatter option would have been appreciated.

Beautiful, peaceful venue with stunning views. The Lodge itself was clean and comfortable, with good facilities. Sanne was a wonderful host who provided some thoughtful extra touches.
