Mahagedara Dickwella

Sehr freundliches Personal. Unser Zimmer war klimatisiert, sehr sauber (das neueste Bad, das wir in Sri Lanka je hatten!) und relativ komfortabel. Das Hotel liegt etwas "versteckt" in einer Seitenstraße - daher schön ruhig, eingebettet in einen kleinen, liebevoll gestalteten Garten mit (lieben) Affen. Frühstück lecker und auch ansonsten hat alles prima gepasst. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Mit dem tuk tuk braucht man etwa 7 Minuten ins "Zentrum" von Hiriketya bzw an den Hiriketya Beach. Zum Dickwella Beach kann man in 10-15 Minuten entspannt laufen :)

Keine Möglichkeit, das Fenster zu öffnen aufgrund der vielen Mücken und fehlendem Mückennetz - dadurch bleibt das Zimmer dauerhaft dunkel. Ist aber nicht weiter schlimm, wenn man sich dort nicht viel aufhält.

Very interesting house with good location. We loved Dickwella beach where is way more calmer that the touristy Hiriketiya. The breakfast served in a small garden is simply amazing. The kind lady that work there was very helpful. The rooms are great size and very clean. The bathroom were enormous.

This is a really cozy and well taken care-of house in Dickwella. Our first impression arriving at the city was a bit bad (coming from Midigama). But this was really compensated by the very nice room they had for us. Breakfast was amazing 😍 and to have so many monkeys and chipmunks at breakfast just made it even better!

The location is really hard to find (as said in ithe reviews). If you dont contact the host or read carefully you will not find it! This guest house has no sign or anything like that in the front. It is behind a laboratory. So you have to enter in what looks like to be only the garage from it, but it's actually the entrance to the house Second point was that there are quite a few mosquitos in the open areas (which is expected with so much nature). Despite of the room not being fully isolated (gaps in windows, etc), no mosquitos bothered us in the night (0 stitches!) thanks to a plugged repellent the host provided.
