Pigsty only by name. Facilities great but don’t expect a comfortable sleep.

We liked the quietness of the setting and the the house itself is lovely, offering facilities which makes a stay feel like home from home. As the weather was somewhat chilly, it was lovely that the host had put the heating on for our arrival. For where the barn is, it was an absolute treat to be able to order a Chinese and have it delivered.

The bed in the master bedroom could not be slept in as it’s badly in need of a new mattress. We also didn’t like the visits from the flies or wasps which kept appearing from nowhere. The surface cleaning seems good but parts would benefit from a deep clean we felt. The windows in the living room had quite a bit of cobwebs on and one of us had to end up not using the space because of all the sneezing that was experienced while being in that room.

Fabulous stay within a beautiful property, which is in such a stunning location.

The property was beautiful within a stunning, quiet location. All the rooms are a decent size and well equipped with what we needed. The owner was excellent with the communication and really accommodating. It was perfect for what we were looking for and would highly recommend anyone staying here. We will definitely be back to stay here again!

There wasn't anything that we didn't like. The only thing that I would say which is such a minor thing, is that the kitchen could benefit with a dishwasher? Myself and one one of my friends that stayed at the property both have dishwashers in our homes, which I appreciate not everyone has. We were at the property for breakfast, lunch and dinner over a few days, which meant a lot of washing up. The kitchen has a lot of empty cupboards and could benefit with a dishwasher. It's not essential and really a minor and personal choice.

Lovely stay

Lovely location, very peaceful and private. Lots of room inside and two areas to sit outside. Host was super responsive and very helpful.

The upstairs shower could do with a new or cleaned shower head and some mould cleaning, but otherwise was very clean.

Lovely and comfortable, would book again

The barn was cosy and and gave us a relaxed feel, had all the facilities we needed. . It was quiet and just what we needed after a long day out. Thane was lovely, got back to me really quickly by email on a query I had before we arrived.

We had difficulty locating the property as the address on Bookings was The Malthouse, we drove up and down the road several times trying to find the property. We did call in the end but phone signal was bad, we had to look for a lane upto Tippers Hill Farm, maybe amending the address would make it easier to find. Thane was very good though when we got through and found the property after that.

Beautiful cottage, very clean and hosts very helpful...very comfy beds, lovely and warm on arrival. Would definitely return!!!...we couldn't find a hairdryer but wasn't that fussed in general of that minor thing hehe we no doubt we're just blind..as everythin was catered for ...would highly recommend

Lovely quiet location. Very beautiful property. Nice and clean. We had a great time.

Tricky to find. No directions sent or warning about road closure. Couldn't get in. Neighbour had to lend us their set of keys. No dishwasher. No hairdryer. Not enough cutlery. Main oven didn't work. Hob wouldn't light. Luckily we had matches and could use the top oven.

Perfect hub to attend local events and a home away from home too!

Really easy to pick up the keys and the place was great! Close to a couple of nice pubs and great for nearby events.

Only thing i can think of is that it was a bit tricky initially to spot which property was the pigsty so a sign on the front with an arrow would of helped but it only took a few minutes to work it out so not a big deal.

A few final touches and it would have been exceptional!!!

Property had been converted to high standards. Spaces and rooms were big. Beds were super comfy and big. Surroundings were quiet and remote. Hosts were friendly, helpful and at hand to rectify any issues and problems we had. Overall a lovely property to spend a few days in!

The property was down a dirt road that we struggled to find (but the host kindly guided us after a phone call). The tiled floors were quite sticky and dirty (but were cleaned again the following morning after we made a complaint). The property lacked some final touches in its facilities like a coffee machine, a dishwasher a music station. There were no complimentary toiletries, no surface spray cleaners, no salt and pepper, olive oil... Just little things that other holiday homes normally provide and take the stress out of having to bring them.

Great for families, business retreats with your team, partners for a secluded retreat. Amazing value

Whilst out in the sticks and possibly a little difficult to find, once you do, its an amazing secluded retreat perfect for any business trip (we were at the NEC for 3 days) and amazing value for us (3 colleagues) as booking separate hotel rooms would have cost a fortune in comparison and we bonded more by having a house to share. I'd also consider booking this for my partner and I as its a very good location for walks/cycling. House is lovely. Beautiful double room and 2 single rooms perfect for children. Lovely size kitchen for cooking and very open space in lounge/kitchen/outside.

If I had any slight negative, i'd say if the accomodation could provide salt, pepper, sugar, milk, oil (for cooking), etc it just makes the stay even easier. I cooked Monday night so had brought all the food stuff but was missing the basic bits I'd assumed would be at the property. And coffee wise had no sugar in the morning. Given the amazing value, I wouldn't mind paying a bit more in the price for that to be provided as standard. Thats my only feedback.
