Mountain Views Penthouse - Apartment 22

Our stay at Mountain View apartments was more than we could have hoped for! We stayed in apartment 22 and the view was just incredible. Everything felt super clean, and there was a great supply of kitchen utensils, definitely enough to make a full meal and eat in. It's about a 10 minute drive to town, so I would definitely recommend getting a car. Most parking is free after 6pm. And a good cheaper option in town during the day is boundary street car park. There are a few restaurants / mini market type things within a few mins walk from the apartment which was very handy. You can also see the Shotover jet boat from the apartments which was really cool (there's no noise from this). Would definitely recommend doing that experience aswell as it was one of our favourite bits of the trip! Couldn't fault our experience. Would 100% book and stay here again!

Amazing views,great location, apartment was gorgeous, we both loved it ,would be nice with 2 dining chairs removed and smaller coffee table as we found we were banging our legs to relax on couch ,both beds were so comfortable, bathrooms were beautifully done ,whole apartment was well planned and gorgeous.

Although only 15mins from city the bus timetable was 1hr wait from 10.43am to 3.45pm and $40 plus in a taxi for same distance compared to $2.50 to wait an hr for bus with Bee card that we didn't know about. We would have liked this information and timetable from apartment before arrival but only saw it when we walked to bustop . Airport was $89 from airport but we weren't advised we could get a 5min bus for $2.50 to city& another 15min bus across the road to accommodation for $2.50 ,would have liked to know that also .

The views are unbeatable, very close to the onsen hot pools, the Bosch appliances were upscale.

The space was quite small and crammed with a bit too much furniture and not a lot of space to move around. The bed was too soft. The kettle was not cleaned and a bit of miscommunication so it wasn’t usable during our stay. For the $700 USD per night price point I expected a bit more friendly touches and a lot more space. There was also a note in the kitchen prohibiting cooking shellfish which seemed a bit odd to me.
