5 MIN TO CASTLE & SHOPS - CHARMING CHARACTER HOME - By Tempstay

Comfortable 1 x bedroom house on ground floor, 5-minute walk to center of Windsor, close to restaurants and bars and Windsor Castle.

I was there during a heatwave and no air-conditioning made it a little uncomfortable at times. The fan provided did not work.

The location was fairly close to the pedestrian street, but it was a longer walk to the castle than 5 mintues. I loved the quaint charming building with easy entry up one small set of stairs.

The wonderfully historic building was (sadly) decorated with modern furniture - stainless steel table with round glass top, tall curved metal lamp with ball shade - did not fit the charm of the building itself. It would have been a great touch to have English pine table/chairs, English pine coffee table, etc. The artwork on the walls was inappropriate. The street noise was loud as the bedroom windows face the busy street. A few suitcase racks or dresser tops to set bags on in the master bedroom would have been nice. The shower tile grout was dirty and needed a heavy clean, or replace the tile/grout (and shower curtain) altogether.

Great location..walking distance to everything & the apartment is super well equipped & the hosts are very responsive & helpful..

The only thing was that it was freezing cold on arrival..but it soon warmed up & was very cosy..

Well furnished and comfortable.

There were problems with the bed but the handy man came primptly to rectify it. Bedroom windows could not be opened and so the room smelled rather musty. The living room window was faulty and was extremely difficult to lock.
