The Royal Hideaway I Parking

Easy walking distance to the city centre and castle. Local shops and pubs nearby. The apartment is built above a garage at the back of a terrace, but is private and we didn’t hear any neighbour noises. Managed to park right outside and there were always parks available. There was a washing machine near the front door which was really useful. The bed was OK but was quite low to accommodate the sloping ceilings. The key was tethered to the lock box so you didn’t have to take it with you during the day. The bedroom was pretty large and nicely decorated. Also only about 20-25 mins drive from Heathrow so handy if you don’t want to stay in London after a long flight.

The shower was small and we all banged our heads on the sloping ceiling in the bathroom. As in all properties there is never enough hanging space in the bathroom! Or rest of the house. There was no freezer in the fridge Just a heads up that the staircase to the unit is quite steep if you have heavy bags.

I like the fact the key is on a key chain so you’ll never be locked out

Die Lage ist sehr gut (in 100 m Entfernung befindet sich eine Polizeistation, was uns bezogen auf unseren PKW und die Umgebung ein gutes Gefühl gab) und insgesamt ruhig (bis auf den Flugverkehr nach Heathrow oder Gatwick - es gibt aber offenbar ein Nachtflugverbot). Die Fußgängermeile ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Registrierung des PKW für die anliegende Parkzone war unkompliziert und damit das Parken des Fahrzeugs auch. Die Ausstattung war insgesamt gut, insbesondere die Waschmaschine und der Gefrierschrank sind positiv hervorzuheben.

Die Geschirrspülmaschine hatte nur ein gut arbeitendes Programm, die anderen erfüllten leider nicht so ihren Zweck. Ein Staubsauger wäre für alle Seiten vorteilhaft, damit sich Schmutz gar nicht erst im Teppichboden festsetzen kann. Beim Geschirr dürfte die Ausstattung etwas großzügiger sein und der eine oder andere Kochtopf hat seine beste Zeit bereits gehabt.

L'arredamento era carino e la zona tranquilla

Siamo arrivati tardi e pur avendo prenotato per 4 il divano letto per i bambini non era fatto e abbiamo dovuto farcelo da soli. Abbiamo avuto difficoltà ad individuare la struttura. Dell'host nessuna traccia se non brevi contatti attraverso messaggistica.
