Grafea - Luxury stay in Catania

Clean , quiet, Wi-Fi is good, facility is good

Surrounding area bit rundown

location is very good, closed to a stop with airport bus, make it super easy to reach. Many groceríes, flee market, restaurants around.

We stayed with friends who took rooms next door with the same service provider (7 of us in total) - so our kitchen / living / dining room was the main "gathering spot" for friends. The place has a lift and aircon, and washing machine. Entry was with key codes and card. Late check-out as in allowing us to store our luggage in the apartment after our stay for an additional couple hours as their cleaners clean the place was greatly appreciated. Supermarket Penny right next to the apartment building, and a hustle bustle market downstairs during weekdays were interested. Location was great - a very short walk to Via Etnea and then 6-8 mins walk to Duomo.

Flexibility in earlier check in / earlier activation of the codes - it was very strict for the 3pm activation. But we were OK as a group. It was more flexible for this 2 bedroom apartment compared to the other rooms of the same service provider. The garbage recycling was a little complicated and challenging especially we only stayed for 3 days - what's the expectation to arrange one day of glass garbage the same day we checked in and then not to handle the 3 days of paper garbage accumulated? Luckily host agreed to handled the rubbish all in one go after our 3 days stay involving a full weekend. Neighbourhood at night is not the best (it's literally ONE street / ONE corner from the main touristy street) so suggest not to stay out too late after dark.
