About this apartment rental

It's clear that converting this traditional, award-winning stone barn into a luxury home has been a labour of love. Set across two floors, it's a warm and cosy space that's the ideal base for enjoying the scenic Cornish countryside. Start your first day with breakfast from some of the goodies provided by your lovely hosts. The open plan living space is the home's beating heart, dominated by beautifully restored original wooden beams that run along the vaulted ceiling, a lick of sophisticated red paint and a charming wood burner. We love the hot tub in the pretty garden – it’s the perfect place to unwind. The great outdoors is the real draw here. The home makes up part of a former Duchy of Cornwall daffodil farm – nowadays, chickens and ducks roam the grounds freely – and there are even Highland cows too. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – there are fantastic local walks (maps and wellies provided) on your doorstep. You can enjoy the amenities of the farm, too, including a tennis court, an orchard with a hammock, basketball hoop, woodland, and a private shingle beach right on the river – there are forty acres to explore in total. There's certainly plenty to keep you occupied here – your hosts are Cornwall Wildlife Trust Members, which affords you access to wildlife education sessions for children, including mini-beast safaris, rock pooling events, and bird box making. You can also book a foraging workshop, stand-up paddleboarding, wine tasting, spa treatments, afternoon teas, suppers and more. Home truths: *Between November to March there's a daily charge of £20 to use the hot tub *Three of the bedrooms can be arranged as king sized doubles or twin singles *Your hosts have additional ground floor accommodation for those with limited mobility *There's parking for three cars by prior booking *A hot desk is available in the Estate Office *You are welcome to bring two well-behaved dogs with you for an additional charge of £20 *Your hosts can provide a dog hamper – a pet sitting service is also available *There is a separate communal games room with table tennis – shared with two other homes *Your hosts can provide locally sourced produce *There's a cot, baby bath and high chair available
