Town Barton is a Devon holiday home set in the beautiful Dartmoor National Park. An area of outstanding natural beauty it has much to offer including walking, cycling, wild swimming, rock climbing and horse riding. It is also an excellent base for exploring Devon.
Town Barton has been lovingly restored to provide comfortable modern living yet maintaining its Victorian charm.

The large walled garden faces south with far reaching views to the open moor. A beautiful covered seating area provides a wonderful place to eat, drink, or just relax with a book. A master spa hot tub is the perfect way to star graze as Dartmoor enjoys very little light pollution.

Getting around
Excellent, walking, cycling, and horse riding directly from the house. Bowerman's Nose is one mile. Haytor is three miles. Excellent local pubs include the Ring of Bells at North Bovey The Rugglestone at Widecombe The Cleave at Lustleigh Beaches are one hour Exeter and Plymouth airports are one hour away

Town Barton is a Victorian farmstead built by Lord Hamberdon's estate in 1833. Today the farm is run as a smallholding with sheep, pigs, chicken, ducks, and horses. Two small businesses work out of the barns & and the annex is a permanent let.

Gorgeous house in a fabulous location! The owners were on hand to show us round and left us an amazing cake. The house was beautiful, clean, and very well equipped. Fantastic walks from the door. The hot tub was lovely, beautiful garden, would highly recommend.

Town Barton is the most plush house we've ever stayed in. The bedrooms are huge, ensuite bathrooms gorgeous and the dining room is so elegant. The flower gardens are breathtaking, and provided fresh bouquets in every room -- such a thoughtful touch! Also thoughtful was the delicious homemade layer cake awaiting us on our arrival. The hosts live next door and were available to answer questions, give recommendations, and give our grandkids an introduction to farm life. This truly is a spectacular place.

Town Barton was exactly what we were looking for, the views of Dartmoor were spectacular and the quiet countryside makes you forget all your troubles. Perfect location for exploring Dartmoor and the surrounding areas.
Sally and James were amazing hosts and made us feel completely welcomed. From meeting us at arrival to give us a tour of the house, to checking in to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The farm fresh eggs provided were a lovely addition to this amazing house.
