This was an exceptional place. Everything was fabulous. Wonderful grounds and pool.

Totally fell in love with Casa do Salgueiral. What an absolutely stunning property! Carefully run by elegant, friendly and helpful couple (whose family has owned the estate for many generations), it has so many personal touches. Our huge room - with the antique Portuguese bed was gorgeous and the modern kitchen had everything you could need. Our room was kept dark and cool, giving respite from the boiling heat outside. We enjoyed a breakfast delivered in a basket on the terrace outside our room with a view across the valley and surrounded by vines and orange trees. Just dreamy. There were loads of little areas where you could just sit, enjoy the view and sip some of the wine produced on the estate (the honesty bar is in the pool area and you just settle up when you check out). We honestly didn't want to leave and wish we'd extended our stay. The stay was such good value as well.

What a beautiful property - we could not have been happier to spend two days here. The gorgeous home itself, the spacious room, the views, and the lovely pool area. José and his wife were so kind. Breakfast was delicious. We loved it.
