Lovely place held by a lovely family in the gorgeous Valley of Douro. The delicious breakfast was the icing on the cake of this wonderful stay.

Such a beautiful place, wonderfully looked after, amazing pool area, fantastic breakfast and… most of all… lovely owners! We had a lovely one night stay and would definitely return.
Not really a negative at all, but cutlery and plates in the room would’ve been nice. Also, if you are visiting, make sure to hire a car! We didn’t have one and it was a 2km walk from the station (lovely walk, though, through vineyards and with amazing scenery!)

Accommodation was very comfortable with lovely decor. Clearly alot of thought has been put in to making Casa Relogio de Sol a home away from home.
Pool area was perfect for relaxing and reading a book.
Carla was an exceptional host and couldnt do enough to help, nothing was a problem.
And breakfasts were a treat and savoured each morning.
Only challenge is if you dont have a car, you are reliant on taxis to get to Regua, which is only a five minute drive. The cost of each trip did start to add up.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Relógio do Sol. The hotel was spotless, beautifully decorated and maintained with great attention to detail. The breakfast was excellent, with a delicious selection of fresh products. The owners are kind, welcoming and ready to help with useful information. As a small family-run hotel, it is personally managed by the owner couple. We truly appreciated their hospitality and would highly recommend this hotel do anyone looking for a confortable and charming place to stay.
