Great little place in a beautiful hilled town

The room was very quaint, well presented and great position.

The shower head kept falling down and poor water pressure.

On the winding hilly streets of Spello

The small property was tastefully designed with a beautiful view from outside, and near to Spello's city center. Host was able to help us find parking not too far away. There was a fan to help circulate air as it was quite warm when we were there. Plenty of room for 2 people.

The front door was difficult to open (probably swollen at the bottom due to heat).

Loved this place!

This is such an amazing little property in lovely Spello. We wish we had stayed for more than 1 night. Hosts were great, providing amazing information about the town and restaurants and very precise, easy to follow directions for arrival. This little apartment is so well appointed with everything you need for a longer stay. We loved this place!

Beautiful stay in a beautiful town

Beautiful cave apartment. Great view out the front door across the valley. There is no actual outdoor area to sit at but if you leave the front door open you have a great view. Apartment has everything you need and want. Very comfortable. Host was quick to reply to any question or request. Also was on hand in person to check us in and explain things. also told us where to park for free nearby. And offered to pick us up and drive us back to our car.The apartment looks like it used to be the basement of some ancient building.

The only thing to not like was that it is a long walk up the hill. But everything in Spello is on the hill.

Perfect. Would rent again

The property was spotless and had everything we needed. Its location was close enough to the town center to enjoy the town yet just enough out of town to enjoy the serenity and beauty of Spello. We were there the first of April. I can’t imagine how beautiful this town is when all the flowers are in bloom.

A super apartment it was the second time I stayed there. Very, very, very hospitable host. The apartment is nice with a well equipped kitchen, very nice bed and all in top condition. You can´t ask for more.

Outstanding - our favorite accommodation in Italy so far.

The studio apartment is exceptional. So beautifully decorated and so comfortable in every way. Everything you need us there, with very good “how to use” instructions and all very high quality. The host was delightful and very helpful.

Medieval sophistication!!!

The room had medieval charm with updated elegance!!! There was even a glass covered box to expose the remnants of the excavation.

We were tired and should have taken up the owner's offer to drive us to the room from the parking space. The room seemed to be on the edge of the walled town. In winter these small villages are somewhat closed up which we anticipated.

It was a delightful few days in this cute bedsit perched on the walls of Spello.

Linen, towels, comfort and cleanliness of the property were of an incredibly high standard. We spent a month travelling in Italy, this property and the host Mariangela were a standout.

Fantastic apt with a gorgeous view of mountainside....maryangela is very accommodating & was very kind to pick us up & drop us back at train station. Spello is a very walkable town with lots to enjoy! Everything was perfect! Can't wait to stay with u again!!

Mariangela and Carlos were fabulous landlords and we lived our stay with them.

Beautiful apartment very comfortable and homely with little touches . It’s location was perfect for discovering Spello. The owners were fantastic and picked us and our luggage up from the edge of the town , they also allowed us to use the washing machine which was really appreciated .

A perfect apartment in a fairy-tale town

In many trips to Italy, this is one of the best places I have stayed. Mariangela and her husband were wonderful - making sure I was organised before I arrived, providing transport for me from and to the station and offering advice throughout my stay. Spello is a gorgeous place and the Dimora Porta Venere was perfect. It is a beautiful open plan apartment with well-equipped kitchen, good-sized dining table, comfortable sofa and spacious bathroom. Extra features were a coffee machine and large fridge-freezer and clear instructions on how to use everything. The building includes features from the thirteenth century and from the Roman period but has been superbly adapted for modern use; it combines the comfort of modern accommodation with the beauty and fascination of a historic location. The lovely sites, unusual shops and excellent restaurants of the town are a short (uphill) walk away.

Dimora Porta Venere e’ un gioiello incastonato in un altro gioiello che è Spello. Un appartamento open space di una bellezza, una cura nel dettaglio e un’atmosfera uniche. Letto comodissimo. Accoglienza da parte di Iasmin graziosissima. Me ne sono innamorata dalle foto e ho voluto andarci a tutti i costi…e ho fatto bene perché ne vale davvero la pena. Stupendo davvero

綺麗に整えられた可愛らしい部屋でゆっくりと過ごすことができました。駅から宿泊先までは石畳の坂を登らなければいけないのですが、車で迎えに来てくれたのでとても助かりました。帰りも電車に合わせた時間に駅に送ってくれました。ホストは泊まっている場所の2階に住んでいるので、チェックアウト時もスムーズでした。
