Comfortable stay in Shirley, Solihull - Room 3

The room was modern with good furniture.

The shower room is quite small, especially when you are trying to dry yourself after having a shower.

Extremely Clean and Tidy. Very Safe and Family Friendly Environment.

Location fine, room fine. TV would have been nice

There were two other couples in the accommodation who were argueing and making noise at 3.00am - hardly got any sleep

The room was a little small and I found the mattress too soft

Breakfast was a cereal bar, minimal cereal available and milk. Self service for coffee, tea. Using lock box worked well and no issues getting into the room. Adequate single bed and a clean area with fresh towels, bottle of water, and suitable toilet/shower areas.

Only booked a single room and at late notice so wasn't expecting too much. Entry to property was a little frustrating as I believe car parking is advertised however, not the case and I had to park around the corner of the street. Very noisy door to room so hard to be quiet to other guests, and the same with the squeaky floorboards and bed.

The place itself was very nice, and when I got there I had received a text about the key box but my data wasn't working. Thankfully the owner could see me and rang me and gave me the information I needed. They were very informative and friendly. The room was a single bed with a side table and wardrobe. The bathroom is shared but is very clean. There's also a shared kitchen and lounge. Free wifi with excellent signal!

The only thing I could negatively say about the property was that I wasn't able to lock the door of my room from the inside. I'm guessing this is just a fault with the door. It was too late at night when I got back to tell anyone, and I left very early. I just put a towel and keys by the door if anyone dared open it (which they didn't).

the bathroom window can actually be see through if you come up close, especially if it's dark outside and bright inside. i only realised on the second day when someone else was in the bathroom and i walked pass outside. the staff said she would bring me the missing rung for the wardrobe, but she didn't. i couldn't hang up any clothes for the whole stay. She doesn't have to mention it if she is not going to do it. edit: the staff called and said they would add blind or something to bathroom window, i appreciate the effort and efficiency. she said the other guests were angry that they have been spy while in bathroom. i would like to clarify that i was only looking from afar when there was a man fully dressed in black inside. i only went up close when nobody was inside. I meant i was shocked as i took shower the night before. i didn't expect the view from outside to be like that. you can't see anything inside to outside but it's different from outside to inside. i didn't think somebody spy on me, but anybody who walked pass could have done it if they want, i didn't like that. thankfully she promise it will be fixed by adding curtain or blind or something. manager asked me to remove the comment, but i felt that i'm not lying, nobody was hurt, i cannot see why i should remove my comment. it should have been a good thing that the problem have been resolved and positively fixed? things have gotten better at the end? i appreciate the manager react quickly and solve the problem.
