Charming location in a charming town that was a perfect base for walking Hadrians Wall.

We chose the Candlemaker for its proximity to the Hadrians Wall transport bus, as well as its ability to comfortably hold our group. We were so pleasantly surprised as nice as the pictures are it is even more charming and spacious in person. The decor is unique and thoughtful. It is a convenient location for shops restaurants, pubs and grocery stores.

Lovely apartment. Beautifully appointed and furnished. Kitchenware and bedware superb.

Perfect location. Beautifully furnished and equipped apartment. Kitchen equipment and utensils were excellent quality, and in the fridge we found a very thoughtful courtesy package (milk,eggs, biscuits jam,etc). Similarly, bedrooms were very comfortable with ample towels, robes, slippers, etc. The host was charm8ng and very helpful. Overall a very happy stay in Hexham. Very highly recommended.

beautifully designed with lots of custom woodwork. great location with the heart of Northumberland pub next door. lots of nice little touches, teapots, butter dishes etc. everything was done in a friendly manner. can’t fault it. p.s. the photos do not do the property justice.

The apartment was large enough to be comfortable for our entire group. Sarah is an exceptional host. She went above and beyond to help us find a guide to take us to Hadrian's Wall.

The house was very warm, nice and clean. Plus it's really well furnished, cozy and spacious.

Bed was comfortable but mattress and duvet seem those type that retain heat and in the spring it might be a bit too much.
