Hexham Town Centre, Market Place View

The property is very tastefully decorated and well appointed. All mod cons in a listed building.

Parking was a bit tight and there was competition for the dedicated space. Sorted it out though.

The location is very central. All walking distance. The decorations and interiors were nice, classic style. The kitchen utensils, pans, pots were complete. Wifi connection was excellent. The place was safe.

Limited wardrobes in the bedroom, particularly for 8 days stay. No help offerred in bringing up or bringing down the luggages (2 big checked-in, 2 handcarry luggages), especially the staircase were narrow and challenging. The place was not as clean as we were expecting. No touched-up/cleaned, and bedding changed on the 3rd or 4th day of our stay. I think hospitality, and cleanliness can improve. Slightly over-priced.

Location was excellent and we managed to park our car just in front of the door. Bed was large and very comfortable. The rooms were all a decent size and nicely decorated, although, being a very old building, the ceilings were very low. Anyone taller than 5 foot 10 would need to watch hitting their head on the light fittings, door frames etc. Access to the property was up a lot of short stairways with uneven sized steps so you needed to be mindful of them. Host responded quickly when we had an issue with the heading on arrival.

Slightly disappointed there wasn't a freezer (I should have read the facilities list in more detail). There were no dishwasher tablets provided that we could find, no dishcloth, and no obvious instructions for e.g. the microwave.

Great Central location to the town centre. Unit was comfortable , but a little quirky as typical of its age, being a listed property.

Parking wasn't dedicated, so uncertain availability. We weren't able to park in the designated spot as someone else parked there earlier and didn't leave overnight. The unit needs to be aired a bit more to remove the musty air.
