Lostwithiel was a good centre to visit many places. Easy to park and house was very comfortable. Good internet.

It would be good to have a kitchen cupboard to put food away.

Felt like a proper home from home. Comfy & everything you could need !

It is on the main road but to be honest didn’t really bother us.

Very well equipped cottage. Easy access for visiting other parts of Cornwall. Off-road parking, which also helps.

There isn't really anything not to like.

The cottage is nicely furnished and well looked after. The beds could be more comfortable. Would recommend a visit to the Duchy of Cornwall nursery nearby and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

We would not have booked this cottage if we had known it is positioned directly on the main road through Lostwithiel. It was described as being in the 'heart' of the village which doesn't indicate it is really noisy day and night right outside with heavy traffic. The owners did not tell us in advance that the road outside was being completely dug up for 3 weeks from 7pm until 4am nightly despite having laminated information on this inside the property which we found on arrival. This meant we had almost no sleep at all for the nights we were there as the whole cottage vibrated with the heavy machinery grinding the road to bits right outside. This was supposed to be completed towards the end of July 2026 so hopefully future guests will not suffer in the same way. The owners said they had told Sykes Cottages who manage the property that the works were happening but this was not passed onto us and Sykes denied all knowledge. The guests in the neighbouring cottage also had major issues with the roadworks and lack of sleep as likewise complained as they would not have booked theirs either. It was really disappointing to have such bad nights at the start of our holiday.
