Lovely situation and very nice cottage. The village is isolated and only has one small shop for 'essentials. Sadly the cottage had no CH (temp?) so reliant on electric heaters and a nice, if a little hard work, wood burner. Some nice local walks along the river woodland but hilly, damp and not easy in places. Very young children and the less mobile might struggle. Pub is 100 feet away and very friendly (plus dogs). In the end we did not eat there. We did get a supermarket delivery in the week, no problem. Very friendly robin on the front window. All in all a nice, quiet stay if probably better suited to warmer and drier weather.

The cottage is absolutely lovely, very comfortable for our needs. Pub next door and small shop are handy. Downside; remote, which is why we chose it, but need a car for any supermarket and lack of phone signal-WiFi in cottage works great. Perfect for the reason we picked it which was to completely switch off and relax.

An extremely comfortable and well equipped cottage set in an idyllic village but not too far off the beaten track to explore other parts of Cornwall.
Great food at the village pub and there is also a handy village shop.
We have already booked for next year!
