Perfect holiday base.

Superb accommodation and terrific value for money. So many thoughtful touches - milk in the fridge, breakfast cereal, biscuits.

The only downside was the road noise.

Great location with everything you need for self catering.

Very comfortable bed and great location for seeing all the Lewis sites. Great to be able to cook and not to have to eat out every night. Facilities were spotlessly clean and had lots of nice little accessories

No heater in the bathroom which due to the unseasonably cold weather was a tad cold.

Convenient short stay in Stornoway

Good location for walking into Stornoway and the adjacent park. welcome pack of food was nice and thoughtful. Cabins would be an ideal overnight stop if you were just looking for somewhere to stay before catching the early morning ferry.

Road noise - both day and night. Cabins are set right next to the main road in and out of Stornoway - noise is very intrusive. Cabins orientated towards road with windows set high in the wall presumably to stop pedestrians looking in. This means that anyone inside cannot look out without standing up. Internal layout means that one side of the double is against the wall.

Cosy, clean, and quiet at night the stars are beautiful (sirus star seen shining bright above hut). Bonus of the washing and drying machine in the shed was ideal after a muddy walk. Great location, easy to walk into stornoway via castle grounds

Superb

Extremely comfortable, all facilities, generous amount of welcome items like milk, butter, biscuits etc. Close to Co-op for supplies. Good location for getting around Lewis and Harris. Stornoway near. Opposite Lews Castle Grounds which are are a wonderful facility with so many tracks and trails through woodland, parkland, by river and estuary with mountain bike trails you can run on.

Only downside next to main road so some traffic noise but quiet at night.

Excellent set up. All the facilities you could possibly need. Nice touch having a supply of milk etc waiting in the fridge on arrival.

Only thing noticed was the road noise, but that can’t be helped. It does quieten down at night, til the early hours. It didn’t bother me, I’m a good sleeper but it might be a consideration for others.
