Everything was great, and the location, despite being on a small road, it kept the noise down and offered a beautiful view into the mountains

Not really a negative, only for me, I couldn't have a sauna as there was only me. I understood it would be expensive, I was just hoping to thaw after a very long, cold ride. But if there's more than 1, he'd fire it up no problems

The room was clean and warm during Mestia’s cold winter. The price was affordable. And there was a kind hostess who prepared the breakfasts.

We came to Mestia to ski in the days and enjoy the on-site sauna in the evenings. Unfortunately, the local ski resorts were closed throughout our visit (Dec 30 - Jan 2) with no logical reason given. We realise this is not the accommodation’s fault but that made it all the more frustrating that we were never able to use the sauna either (with reasons ranging from the understandable “it takes 80 minutes to prepare” and “there’s a power outage” to the less reasonable “I’m too busy” and “I’m hungover”). It was also a bit disappointing that the early breakfast that we’d requested on our departure day (and the host had kindly agreed to) was not provided - it seems our request was forgotten.
