Marina's guest house

Marina was the kindest host we met in Georgia. She made the best homemade dinner and breakfast, with fresh milk, butter and yogurt, amazing khachapuri and soup. The room was clean and warm and had a homely feeling. When we left we already wanted to return. Cannot skip if travelling through Svaneti.

This was the best family-run hotel I've ever stayed at. A simple and beautiful family where you can relax. You can walk in nature nearby, it's very, very beautiful, the river is nearby, you can walk on the shore. The air is amazing, you can breathe it. Very tasty food, pure and natural. Delicious house red and white wine.Marina is a very warm and lovely hostess who tries to help you with everything.Beautiful nature surrounded by mountainsThere is one bathroom for guests, but that's normal in a guesthouse. I recommend it to anyone who likes the simple and beautiful environment of the village. Thank you very much Marina.

Wir wollten eigentlich nach Uschguli, was uns allerdings der meterhohe Schnee ca. 11km vor unserer geplanten Ankunft verwehrte. Somit hatten wir ein Riesenglück, dass Marina kurzfristig noch ein Zimmer für uns präparieren konnte. Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war sehr lecker nach einer ruhigen Nacht. Es ist ein recht schlichtes Etablissement, wodurch dadurch allerdings der angebotene Preis - v.a. auch durch das Frühstück - mehr als fair ist.

Wir wussten, worauf wir uns einlassen, allerdings war das doch recht stark in die Jahre gekommene Gemeinschaftsbad nicht ganz so nach unserem Geschmack.
