Really pretty

The drains had a bad smell coming from them and the tap water came out dirty first 5seconds

We stayed in a 2BR gated villa with its own pool and a hot tub. When we entered the gate, we were very impressed. The villa was spotless and had all the amenities we need. The staff was helpful and they have a tuktuk to take us to town. The breakfast was excellent and they delivered it in time. They even sent us breakfast to go as our flight out was very early.

The “spa” could have been better. It was basically a very small stand alone building with 2 massage tables. The room was so small you could have held hands with the person on the other table. No privacy at all, not even a curtain. You have to undress infront of the massage therapist with all the lights on. No bathroom, not even a sink. As the place is called Pineales resort and SPA, I think they could have done better.

When we arrived we were greeted very warmly by staff. We were very excited for our stay after an exhausting few days. We did have to make quite a few requests after the first night to make our stay more comfortable, but the staff were very accommodating, so thank you. Apart from that we had a very pleasant stay overall. The room and pool was very beautiful and the floating breakfast was a very nice addition. The mini fridge had loads of snacks and drinks which was great. They offer free tuktuk service to the city centre which was very helpful. You could communicate with staff through whatsapp which was convenient for ordering breakfast. The also had spa/massage service which didn't take long to organise, we were very relaxed after that.

We were asked to pay cash for our outstanding balance upon checkout, which was strange since we had paid for the room with credit card. This was inconvenient and cost us more with currency exchange/fees. The room we were allocated had the pool pump at the back so we had to request for it to be turned off every night as the noise was incredibly loud and disturbing. Unfortunately this attracted a lot of bugs to the pool as the water was stagnant. I noticed some of the other rooms had the pool pump out the front. We would have preferred to be offered a different room rather than asking for the pump to be turned off, but I'm not sure what their availability was like. The hot water system was very poor, they attended to it and it worked once then immediately stopped again after that, I explained I had a condition where cold water caused me pain, but I was tired of making requests of the staff. They also had construction going on which they notified us by whatsapp the morning of, which was fine, I understand these things have to be carried out, but it meant we couldn't relax at the accomodation like we wanted and had to leave during the day to avoid the noise. It went for a few days. This was meant to be our break in between adventuring around Bohol and our further travels. A discount or extra service to make up for this would have been welcomed but we weren't offered anything at all. We would have really liked to stay here again when we return to Bohol, but might try somewhere else with less internal noise.

Staff were very nice and helpful The room and pool were good, nice to have a private pool and we had 100% privacy. Location was good as they have private taxi and can supply scooters

Breakfast was very poor I found it very overpriced compared to all the other stays I’ve had in the Philippines
