    This was my second time here and we will always, ALWAYS, book Amorita when we go to Bohol. The place is so peaceful. They offer a lot of activities to do in the property. Breakfast buffet selection is also very good. But the best part are the hotel staffs! They are very friendly and attentive. More on the pricier side but definitely worth it! I highly recommend Amorita!

    We had the best experience in Amorita - from the room, scenic view, cocktails and free bar, breakfast, gym, etc.! It’s location is ideal because it’s in the heart of Alona where everything is conveniently located. The resort is so spacious, we relaxed in the pools and the hammocks which both overlooking the sea. Will definitely come back to this resort. ❤️❤️❤️

    What a wonderful stay! In a bid to escape the depressing downpours in Manila, I booked a last minute trip to Bohol for the long weekend. I’ve been eyeing Amorita ever since a friend stayed here a few years ago, and I’m glad I found the chance to stay for a short trip. The best thing about Amorita is the level of service the staff give. Calling the resort to inquire about reservations and airport transfers was very easy. When I arrived, *** was very helpful throughout the entire check-in process and explained the resort facilities while I waited for my room to be ready. Everyone would greet you as you walked past them, and they anticipated your needs/requests before you even ask. The resort itself is very beautiful. It feels very intimate and detached from the rest of Alona beach’s resorts. The pools are well-worth the hype; I didn’t realize how nice it was to swim while having a view of the sea until now. The infinity pool at the lobby is their signature, and it’s definitely the best one for Instagram. But the main pool near M. Marinera has the better view and is where I spent most of my time. They also serve complimentary refreshments (fruits, ice pops, lemonade) in the afternoon, which all the guests, especially the kids, loved. The restaurants were also great and offer good value (considering that they’re in the hotel!) Breakfast selections are few but enough, and I highly appreciated the various Filipino veggies they served! I had my first dinner in Tomar, and the seafood tasted fresh and were cooked well (get the pulpo!). Second dinner was at The Lost Cow — I travelled solo, so I didn’t get steak. I ordered a salad and a chicken, which I expected to be enough just for one, but I was surprised to see enough food for up to three people. I finished it all (and had to walk it off a bit afterwards), but it was the first time I felt that I wasn’t “cheated” by a hotel restaurant. I knocked a point off for the room, but no big dealbreaker here. I booked a Deluxe King room on Agoda, but the resort received a booking for a Twin Jr. Suite. I was grateful for the free “upgrade”, but calling the room a (junior) suite is a bit of a stretch. It’s just a slightly larger regular room and had no separate seating/living area (which is what defines a suite, at least for me). The room also needed a deep clean, especially in the shower, where some grime obviously needed to be scrubbed off. The room was made up twice a day, once in the morning/afternoon and another for turndown service. Overall, I’m glad that I took this last minute trip and I’m sure this won’t be the last time I’ll stay in Amorita.

    Exceptional service across the board—10/10. The amenities, both land and water, were excellent and the rooms and gardens were very well maintained. We also appreciated the complimentary snacks and drinks, as well as the free room upgrade. The restaurant, however, was a major disappointment. The food was overpriced, bland and served in small portions. We would have preferred to stay at the resort for our entire trip, but the dining prices made it difficult to justify, so we had to go to nearby Alona and Panglao for meals. This is easily the resort’s biggest weakness and falls short compared to the rest of the experience. We would definitely come back, but we’ll plan to have our meals elsewhere.
