The place was clean, fresh, modern and nicely furnished. Comfy beds. Lots of amenities in the kitchen. Close to everything such as the bank, major grocery store and the lovely Placencia Beach Club. Appreciated use of the laundry facilities. Great deck.
I had double checked with the property manager a week before and a day before about early check-in as our flight was arriving at 1:00. He said no problem and would meet us there at 1:00. It was confirmed twice. When we arrived no one was there and at 1:15 I walked to the grocery store and asked a kind stranger to call him. He had forgotten about us, but did arrive within 10 minutes thereafter. Also, air conditioning in the main living area was broken and had not been dealt with even though manager was aware of it 5 days previously. The broken part had not even been ordered yet, so we did not benefit from full air conditioning. He had to order a part, so we had to keep the bedrooms very cold in order to push cold air to the front room. Lodging was very warm prior to arrival, could have been aired out before we arrived, especially since broken air conditioning was known to manager. Also, we went to do laundry later that evening and there was no electricity in the laundry room, we had to call the manager who had someone come out and check the breakers. This should have been done in advance of our arrival. Garbage was often tipped over and strewn about the yard below the deck, it was not our garbage but we cleaned it up for a few days anyway. Manager said he told us about garbage day which he did not. He also told us there was no Tourist Information in Placencia, but we happened to come across a really nice office near the wharf in the Village. To the manager's credit, he was timely in correspondence and rectified situations immediately once he was notified of issues.

Great location. 2 blocks to the beach, 1/2 block to the grocery store
Only suggestion I would make is that they get a couple of umbrellas. We had alot of rain.
