Comfortable and convenient for beach & forest walks. Nice to have farm on hand for evening walks. Delicious strawberries too!
We had nice weather. If it had been wet/ raining, the entrance to the cottage would have become wet and dirty quite quickly (we have dogs). Some washable rugs or floor towels (we had our own) would have been needed. That’s meant as a suggestion to win 10/10 review, and is not a criticism in any way. Our stay could not have been better!

Kids got to play in the farm park after it had closed to the public. The accomodation had plenty of space for all of us. We walked to a beautiful quiet beach in about 20mins. Hot tub was lovely.

This was our home base for adventures along the east coast of Scotland. It was perfect for journeying out to Dunnatar Castle, Aberdeen, Glamis Castle, St. Cyrus Beach ( be sure to go to the Old Bakery Cafe!!!), all the sites in Montrose and a quick stop at Aldi’s for food and snacks. We stayed in Laundry Cottage ( 3 adults and 2 children) and we had two beds left over; very spacious and kitchen was well equipped. Beds were comfy and shower pressure was good. Two bathrooms was an extra bonus. Really fantastic playground for the kids and great breakfast at their little cafe. Our private hot tub was awesome on those chilly fall nights! we were there for five days and I could have stayed longer, might be busier during the summer but fall was perfect, quiet and private. LOVED IT!

More firewood would have been nice; we only had a few branches and I found one small log. There is a washing machine but a dryer would be a real plus. We made due using the drying rack that was provided. Taking into account the season, the age of the house and the remote location, this is really to be expected but we did have some really BIG spiders crawling around upstairs; my daughter had one in her suitcase! So a word of advice, just keep your suitcase closed when not using it!
