Xenia Apartment

I book and design travel for a living, so I read reviews carefully before I stay anywhere. The one thing that gave me pause about this house was the road. Several guests had mentioned it, and honestly that worried me—you don't mention a driveway unless something happened on it. I asked Xenia directly, and she simply said that if you are a comfortable driver, there is nothing to worry about. Let me settle this for anyone reading with the same hesitation. The road is not a problem. Not slightly, not for a nervous driver, not for a first-timer on the island. Keep to the rules, keep the car balanced the way you would anywhere, and the car does the rest. I drove it repeatedly with my family and never had a single uncomfortable moment. Please disregard the comments on this subject entirely. Now to the house itself. It is spacious, spotless and genuinely easy to live in. The amenities are exactly what you need, nothing missing and nothing there for show. Xenia's mother came to hand over the keys herself, walked me through everything clearly, and had left ouzo, butter and bread in the refrigerator. That small gesture changed the whole feeling of arrival — it stopped being a rental and became somewhere I was expected. Like being looked after by your own mother. Midway through our stay, Xenia's sister came by and cleaned the house. I hadn't asked and hadn't expected it, and that is precisely why it mattered. The house sits directly on the beach, with balconies on every side and a view that made us slow down. After thirty years of judging properties for a living, I have not one negative remark to make. We will be back — that much is certain.

The beach is beautiful with devine blue (cold) water - just big pebbles, deep, open sea make it not useful for small kids.

Das Haus liegt direkt über einem Abschnitt des Tsamadou Beach. Man hat einen herrlichen Blick auf das türkisfarbene Meer und ist umgeben von Olivenhainen. Einfahrt zur Unterkunft ist sehr steil und eng, aber mit etwas Übung zu meistern. Ansonsten kann man das Auto auch oben stehen lassen. Ein beweglicher Untersatz ist von Vorteil. Apartment ist sehr geräumig und sehr gut ausgestattet (inkl. Waschmaschine). Hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Logement très spacieux pour deux. Nous avons pris nos repas sur le balcon, avec vue sur la mer. L'endroit est très calme (malgré un peu de musique le midi avec le restaurant assez proche). La cuisine est très bien équipée et nous avons pu cuisiner véritablement. À noter la présence d'une cafetière filtre (ce que nous souhaitions), d'un bac à glaçons (souvent oublié) et d'un four à micro-ondes (plutôt rare dans les hébergements en Grèce). L'accueil a été fantastique. L'hôte nous a aidés à régler rapidement le problème technique que nous avions avec la voiture.

Accès un peu difficile en voiture. Mais l'on peut se garer avant l'entrée de la propriété.
