The only thing this place has going for it is it’s very cheap in an expensive town. Oh and it’s close to everything.
It was dirty. And there’s no bathroom on the top floor.

I loved the character incl the rain dripping into the bathroom in the huge storm

Location was wonderful and everyone I interacted with was also wonderful

Location very central, cheaper compared to many stays in Corfu town.. you do get what you pay for. Decent restaurants around for dinner and breakfast, and there’s also a supermarket nearby. Quiet enough in the night and the bed was reasonably comfy.
Lots of clutter around the place and it’s not super clean, but it did the job for one night.

Location to bus stop in central Corfu that goes to airport and port of Corfu was a 3 min walk. The house itself was ok and check in was fine . Plenty of shampoos, liquid soaps etc left over by previous guests. The beds are real beds and not bunk. Good location and base for seeing Corfu island for the first time , 15 min bus ride to airport. Easy walk to old Corfu sites
No towels provided. No AC. Terribly uncomfortable at night in August. I used to wet my sheets with water to cool off but it would only be wet a few hours. There were fans. Bathroom was dirty and had no shower curtain. The bathroom window had no covering. This is someone’s home with beds to let so I wouldnt call it a hostel but more like airbnb. For 46 euro a night I’ve stayed at better more comfortable hostel. Maybe more comfortable during winter and spring . It was so hot it was hard to sleep

Let’s say that Ami’s place is very special and probably not suitable for those expecting a more conventional accommodation. It’s a family-owned building where Ami, a very kind, quiet and sporty gentleman of advanced age, runs this women’s dormitory, which has the great advantage of being in a strategic central location in Corfu. Having the funny style of a “grandmother’s old house” combined with a cabinet of curiosities, it can create an initial moment of confusion. It happened to me at least, but after it, I eventually felt comfortable there and can recommend it!
take it as it is, or leave immediately without complaining ...

What can I say, it is the cheapest option to stay in Corfu town and the pictures aren't promising too much, so at least you know what you're getting into. The location is good, walking distance to the buses and down town, not too noisy. Easy self check-in at any time and directions on how to find it are being sent beforehand. While it's sold as a dorm, the beds are spread across the rooms and could be considered single/double rooms.
The price is still way too high for what is being offered. The house is in a desolate condition. I would even say the fact that everything is antique could be a selling point if it was being looked after, but it's just in a very poor state and quite dirty. Many of the "rooms" will have to be walked through by other guests to get to their rooms or to the bathroom. I only met the host once and he was nice, offering me water and a place to leave my bag on my last day, but I can understand how some women haven't felt safe, it was in extreme heat, but seeing your host shirtless is something to get used to and the big boxes of extra large tampons or pads, intimate wash lotion etc. seemed strange to me.

Cool vibe, nice host, easy to make friends
Some of the rooms are walk-through, bit cluttered

There was a lot of supplies for the woman. If your plan was late, you can have self a check in - which saved me a lot of problems. Staying was nice I’m at a lot of girls. Also, the host suggested to stay another night for free (this was really kind).
Not super clean but for this price in the city centre it’s all alright!

The location is great, super close to everything. There is bus closeby that takes you to the airport. It is also a nice idea that is a female dormer where you can meet people and “theoretically” feel safe if you travel alone. Check-in was easy.
Terrible experience – not worth the money.
The room was dirty (stained towel, used pillowcase) and offered no privacy. To reach the bathroom, guests had to walk through my room constantly, even at night, so I couldn’t close the door. I do not mind sleeping with other people in the room, but this felt like a hallway. The bathroom itself was rusty and filthy—I didn’t even want to shower. Shockingly, the owner entered my room during late evening without knocking and asked me if I need the light, and turned it off. I’ve stayed in many hostels/ dorms before, but this was by far the worst. Not worth the €40 at all. And I am shocked it has such a good review.

The bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The location is good with easy access to the old town. Ami is a lovely charismatic man who lives at the house, and therefore the accomodation has character. This is a house stay not a hostel/hotel, so if you keep that in mind you will enjoy your stay. Ami is a great host who goes above and beyond to help you.

The best place you can stay in Corfu as a women! The place is really comfortable, the rooms are spacious and the beds are big. It has all the facilities you need and even hairdryers, makeup mirrors etc.
Ami, the owner, is very kind and offers assistance with anything! He truly cares about the quality of the place and makes sure each guest feels at home.

Excellent location, in the old town, and close enough to the ferry port and the airport. Other guests were friendly.
Super dirty and messy house. Floor looks like it has not been cleaned for years, and there was clutter everywhere. You need to move things around so you don't trip. AMI is an elderly man, not a female, so it could be really misleading if you're expecting a female host. Hence, the hostel is "only for women." The host was friendly in the beginning, but there's no logic in his decisions. I was initially put in a room in the 1st floor, but when I returned from the beach, he gave my room away to another girl also only staying 1 night and put me in the top floor in a tiny room that was hot like an oven. When asked about it, he had no explanation and told me of I wanted, I can sleep on the ground floor which had no door and was open so I felt unsafe so I ended up suffering in the little hot room for the night and could not sleep due to the heat but thank God I only stayed for 1 night. For 39 euros a night, it was not worth it as other rooms had more space and better ventilation. NEVER AGAIN, as it's a gamble if he likes you or not, and based on that, it will put you in that shitty room if he randomly feels like it even after you claimed your initial bed!

Close to the city
For the love of God, please please clean!
I did not dare use the bathroom (the bath mat was soaked with liquid)
Everything was dusty
Garden was so messy
The kitchen smelled bad and the fridge looked DISGUSTING
Also the housekeeper was nice enough but he is male and it creeped me out to see him when this is supposed to be an only-women hostel.
Was cheap, not worth it.

The location is fairly convenient. The bed was fairly comfortable.
The place smells bad, and it's extremely dirty. Also, there is nothing creepier than having a middle-aged man manage a women-only guest house. The man was also washing the bedsheets in one of the two showers that exist. Those bedsheets, washed in the communal bathtubs, were then used for the beds. 8 had booked one more night. I cancelled it and found something else. Given that in high season the price is over 40eur, it's not value for money. Tou can stay at the other hostel closer to the port for half the money, and it's very well connected by bus. Or you can stay anywhere else really and rely on the buses if you chose this for the location.

The location is great, close to the Old Town and with easy access to buses and shops. The house has a charming garden and the female-only environment made me feel safer during my stay.
Unfortunately, the bathroom was not clean, and the facilities seemed poorly maintained. The shower area had mold and the overall hygiene standards did not match the online photos. I also had to go through another room to access the bathroom, which was uncomfortable.

Amazing location just off main shopping street. Easy taxi from airport 17 euros (they seem to want only cash most places). House is historic/old/funky. My room on the 2 floor up was good, super cosy comfy bed, bedside light and charger area. The nephew was super nice and helped me with my suitcase up the stairs. The owner is super nice as well. Good directions inside the house. Somehow you can hear the airport planes taking off thou,, but not too late in the night.
Bathroom could of been cleaner.

Large and clean bedroom, the bed was soft and comfortable, the location is amazing and not too loud at night, the rooms can be locked from the inside, there is hot water, free internet, lots of free menstrual care products in both bathrooms, sheets and towels are provided, no bugs, the owner is kind and friendly. I really like the fact that it is a female only hostel. (PS. I am a woman, just writing from my father's profile lol)
With a little bit of care this house could turn out amazing. Either as a hostel or perhaps as a student dorm (which Corfu could benefit from), it's very welcome in a city full of expensive Airbnbs.
Unfortunately the house is in dire need of a renovation. It's a huge house so I understand that it is difficult to do, but the first priority should be the bathrooms. The floor looks dirty, there's a lot of useless stuff sitting around and absolutely no space to leave your stuff when you want to take a shower. Some extra curtains for an added sense of privacy would also be nice, although the balcony door overlooks the top of other buildings, so that's not an immediate problem.
Also, I'm pretty sure there's mold in most spaces (which is nothing new in Corfu, most houses have mold) so if you plan to stay, make sure to ventilate your bedroom frequently. And keep in mind that there are no personal lockers, which is a must for a hostel.

Great location, twenty minute of walking from the airport, ten minutes from the bus terminal and few minutes from the center. Owner was very nice and helpful. We arrived at night and he prepared instruction for us. Everything was fine, hostel had everything we needed and we slept comfortably..
We were little bit confused with the rooms and as we arrived at night other guest had to help us find our beds. We actually had our own room, but people had to go trough it if they needed to use bathroom, which is completely fine, as we were expecting dorm. The space was little bit messy, not expecially unclean but there were things laying all around.

You get to live how people lived here 100+ years ago. Loved the fascinating antique furniture & clutter, and the flowery old wallpaper. Elderly host Ami is a unique gentleman, in his childood home.
Very hard to find at night by taxi, after the late flight in from Athens. It's a very old house, almost no signage, unknown to taxi drivers or those on the street.

Ami is very nice and he do his best for our confort. The bed was so confortable.
The building is old and the toilet was not clean.

Location is great if you are between flights or catching some bus from Corfu town it is good to have a rest n travel then instead of taxing taxi which would cost twice more expensive than room
I felt it is too open even for dorm/hostel , like I stayed in room where girls were passing to bathroom I wasn’t aware it could be like that but then I
I was so tired it didn’t bother me much

knowing that I was ill, the host cooked hot tea for me and took care of me . made my stay very comfortable. I am grateful about his help and care. He is very kind and thoughtful. great location, quiet and safe neighborhood right in the town centre. The house is definitely safe for women. will reach the airport in 20min from there. the house doesnt look like a hostel or dorm but so lively authentic Greek house . i like such experience. and i can tell Ami provides everything he could for travelers.
room could be quite hot at night as well. but there are fans. bathroom is not in perfect condition.

Great location in the city center and nice owner.
The place is extremely dirty especially the bathroom, conditions are not acceptable.
I have travelled in hostels all around the world and dirty is dirty, it is not justifiable.
This is a pity because the building is beautiful and also the garden, with a bit of care, would be fantastic. But at the moment it is a dump.

Ami's House for Women Only was my home away from home; I felt safe, secure and welcomed. It's in the perfect spot in Corfu Town to explore or even get lost for a bit in this beautiful city. My room reminded me of a painting by Van Gogh; his bedroom in Arles, France. The bed was so comfortable; I slept very well. The bathroom is large with a huge bathtub; it's clean and spacious. I enjoyed meeting Ami and the other guests from different parts of the world. Staying here was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back.
Nada.

very convenient to transport and walking distances to almost all places of interest. The bus to the airport and port are 3 mins walk away, as is the bus station. The new fort and old town are likewise minutes of walk away.
The owner Ami was very kind and most helpful. He provided water and allowed the use of his kitchen facilities.
The house is old and retains a lot of the original character.
This is not a criticism by any means.
Just be aware that the rooms are connected and people will have to pass through your room to get to theirs and to the toilet/bathroom.
The house is cluttered with a lot of things.

The place was warm, had plenty of blankets, heaters, towels and hot water. Most toiletries were provided. Staff were kind and helpful. The rooms were spacious, including the bathroom.
The place is in a state of disrepair. The rooms, bathroom and kitchen were dirty. Like they hadn't seen soap and water in a long long time.

Really welcoming, accommodating and friendly host! The centre of town is right out the front door! The bed was comfortable.
Hopefully the bathroom renovations are complete soon. But I was well accommodated around the repairs!

Good location! Ami was very helpful.
Very strange layout; bathrooms were pretty bad.
3.0 / 10.0
Great Location directly in the city centre.
No privacy. Doors can't be locked. To go to the bathroom you have to enter and walk through other people rooms or walk two floors down.
It needs some renovation, the owner tries to adjust some of the stuff by itself but the result is poor.
All in all it doesn't feel safe. I was happy to stay there for only one night.
