Location was perfect for me. View from balcony was interesting and good to watch action in the square. Everything comfortable with a charm of its own.

Yes the shower still leaks - into the kitchen some days which was annoying and used up towels. On my second day I asked for the shower soap to be refilled but was told I’d had my allocation so I assume that cleaner had not topped it up prior to my arrival!! Annoying at the time as I was on my own so not sure how much soap you’re supposed to use!!

The location is wonderful, however you need to be aware there are 86 steps up to the apartment :-) The balcony into the piazza is small, but it's still a balcony and wonderful view. After reading previous reviews I asked the question to the management about had the ceiling been rectified, and the shower door fixed to stop water filling the floor. They replied that their maintenance team had remedied these issue. However they had NOT! I found it amazing that the kitchen has a full size family fridge and a dishwasher, but only 3 knives, 3 teaspoons etc. Definitely not enough plates, cutlery etc to use a dishwasher. I think travellers staying more than a night at least require a microwave. There was a pod coffee machine, we bought pods, but then realised we would have to heat milk in a pot on the stove. It didn't make sense for us to have this massive fridge and dishwasher but lacks a microwave. The apartment has the potential to be fabulous, and the space used more effectively.

My biggest issue is; we stayed 6 days. And whilst the apartment is decorated eclectically, it is no way functional. There are cutesy pieces of furniture that I'm sure someone loves, but they could be swapped out for a wardrobe with coat hangers at least. It needs a table big enough for 2 people to eat at comfortably. Instead of funky big blue cane bedside lamps, an actual bedside table, where you could put your phone/book/glass of water etc. would be very helpful. The bathroom vanity needs an update, because the timber is quite gross. If you're only doing overnight stays it would all be fine, however a week in an apartment lacking some basic functionalities is frustrating and disappointing.
