Definitely a budget hotel.

Location was good. Air conditioning was good as was ceiling fan. Office manager and cleaner were pleasant.

Facilities in our room definitely could be improved. Bathroom could be updated. Faucet, countertop, etc. This hotel does not ever have hot water. Unknown by staff. Broken window in bathroom. Bed was old and coming apart, frayed on all edges. Night table would be better. No reading light. Paint on walls or a picture would add to this room. On arrival we were told our toilet wasn’t functioning in our room which was untrue. One of the owners had a friend from Queretero staying in there. During that time they put us in a room in a basement room between the pool pump house and laundry room for two nights. This hotel has broken chairs and broken water dispenser in the common kitchen. The staff try to keep it up but things aren’t fixed or replaced as needed.

Budget friendly, lacking comforts

Quiet, spacious room near a cute neighborhood with restaurants and cafes (Rinconada). Walking distance to beach. AC worked well. Good value for a budget traveler

**NO HOT WATER**, king bed was thin and uncomfortable, curtains were thin so light got in easily, and the room was not well insulated from the outside -- bugs got in thru windows and salamanders went over the door, there were ants crawling all over the bathroom

Simple place

The room had air conditioning, a large bed, and a spacious shower. The woman who welcomed us was friendly.

The room was not cleaned at all during our stay. There were ants and moths, and the towels provided were stained. There was a lack of privacy, such as a bathroom window facing another room with no covering. For the first two days, it felt like we were the only guests (probably due to the poor location), and on the last day, a large, noisy group arrived, making the stay unpleasant.

It might have been a cool hostel back in time

location is quite good and only a short walk to the beach but that’s all the positive aspects I can find…even if I try really hard.

In the description, it says 24h front desk. We had book this place as we arrived in Puerto Escondido in the middle of the night. However, there is no 24h front desk. I was in contact with a guy who seems to be in charge of everything, but he wasn’t too happy that we even had a delay. The place used to be a hostel, but is now run as a guesthouse. Thus, the common areas have fully been neglected, everything just randomly stands around and it’s dirty. Upon arrival we found our room more or less flooded as it had rained in the evening and they must have let the windows open. There was a huge puddle in the middle of the room and one end of the room had a cm high water puddle which didn’t even dry out during our two-night stay. There were leaves from surrounding trees spread all around the room. I was contacted by the host the next day whether we wanted our room to be cleaned and that I should confirm until midday. As we were at the beach and I don’t check my messages all the time, I relied after midday and therefore nothing happened. We also found big bundles of dark hair in our room and the toilet was super gross. One of those upholstered seats with plenty of unhygienic cuts. Further, there was no warm water and when you walk up the staircase it smells of cat pee. We only saw a few other guests but never anyone working there. Overall not a pleasant stay at all.

Me gustó que los cuartos son muy amplios y tienen aire acondicionado, igual la señal del Internet es muy buena.

No me fijé bien y contraté por error un cuarto con baño compartido, revisen bien, porque estuvimos 7 personas en un depa y todos ocupábamos solo 1 baño, aunque el personal lo limpia diario, es muy pesado porque a cada rato está ocupado el baño, son muchas personas para 1 baño, no me vuelve a pasar y revisaré 2 veces ese aspecto para futuras ocasiones. Si recomiendo que contraten el cuarto con baño privado.

La ubicación y la alberca.

El aire acondicionado, si bien funcionaba, hacia un ruido constantemente. De ser posible tener algún tendedero para ropa mojada en donde se localizaba el boiler y el tanque de gas, ahí esta oculto y apropiado.
