Quaint English village atmosphere

Great welcome by Olek. Lovely outdoor setting just for us to use. Christina even took my washing and put it through her machine. Very much appreciated as we were traveling for sometime. Easy walk into the quaint village. Wonderful breakfast, fresh baked goods each morning left outside our door. Good spot as a base for Monets Gardens.

Didn’t like bath with hand held shower. Very difficult for older persons to get in and out off.

Perfect place to recharge and enjoy nature

The location was ideal. A short walk from an entrance to the forest, and a short walk from the village centre which has some lovely restaurants, shops, cafes and a bakery. The room was out of the way and very peaceful, but still close to the action. The room was very sweet and comfortable, and we thought it was a really nice touch that the fridge had milk, water, butter and jam in, and that there was a massive information pack to flick through with guidance about local attractions, the restaurants etc. The breakfast was lovely - bread and pastries from the local baker. We really enjoyed it, but ideally there would be some fruit on offer too, just to balance things out! The baked goods were fantastic though, and it was delivered to the doorstep so we could have it at our convenience.

Very little, the one thing I would change about the room would be the shower, as it was handheld and could be a bit tricky to shower without spraying water around. But overall we had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to return.

A warm, cozy and comfortable stay in a historically well preserved Royal hunting village

Lyons la Foret is a quaint little town with outstanding old world homes and buildings and a very remarkable Royal history. The L’Escapade de Marijac is attached to a residence originally built in 1458. It has been very well constructed to serve as a B&B with one notable exception. There are cross beam supports that are at or near head level - and care is required to avoid bumping your noggin. It is very well equipped with coffee maker and French press, utensils, bowls, plates, refrigerator, etc for a comfortable stay. The bed and bedding are nice and there is a large tub with a hand shower attachment and plenty of hot water, and thick, large towels. A privacy screen is in the room.

The only notable drawback to this property is that the horizontal support beams are located lower than necessary to avoid head thumping. Try as you may to remember them, you will likely bump or graze a beam. Pack a small collection of Band-aids for a scrape or be prepared to exhibit the resulting ding.

a wonderful stay in a hidden-away picturesque village. There was a bath tub in the room, which we found to be a nice touch. The breakfast has been delivered to our room's door at an agreed-upon hour, straight from a local bakery. The hosts were very helpful and informative.

Klimat tego miejsca jest niesamowity. Dostaliśmy wiele wskazówek od gospodyni, co zobaczyć, oraz opowiedziała nam pokrótce historię domu. Pokój jest czysty, ogrzewanie działa, rano czekało świeże pieczywo pod drzwiami (a w lodówce rzeczy do niego). Jesteśmy absolutnie oczarowani zarówno tym noclegiem jak i miasteczkiem, w jakim się znajduje.

Personne pour nous accueillir à l'arrivée alors que j'avais bien précisé la plage horaire La chaleur étouffante dans la chambre à cause des fenêtres ouvertes (plus de 32° à l'extérieur), les ventilateurs n'ont pas été très utiles ensuite
