Too short a stay at a lovely house in great little village

Great location on a quiet street within 10 minutes walk of the village centre. On street parking outside the property. Warm and comfortable with great hosts. Bedroom was large with adjacent lounge. Plenty of seating. Mix of old and modern furniture. Lovely old building but made very cosy. Brilliant breakfast with plenty to eat and drink.

A wonderful stay in a historic house in a lovely village.

A lovely historic home in a charming quiet village. The hosts were lovely and provided a wonderful breakfast (included) and an splendid evening meal (extra). The room was actually large and had a sitting room attached. Leave your shoes in the hallway because of the expensive carpet. The bath was very nice but outside the room in the hall but is private. The room did not have a TV which was not an issue for us as the internet was fast and reliable and we brought a computer.

Old historic house,, very special experience. Big room and nice house lords. Good location and nice atmosphere. Fair price

The WIFI was poor, disconnected every few minutes. It was impossible to handle short voice conversations or to see the video. Too many house rules. Yes, the rules were known ahead, but in the reality it was somehow uncomfortable .

We like the property very much. It's a old house situated in a quiet and peace village. It's well managed and decorated with beautiful antiques all around. We enjoyed our stay.

There was as such nothing to dislike. The bathroom was not comfortable. But in old houses, it's mostly like that it seems. Could have been managed in a better way though as it has been listed as a property for tourists.

2 nights in Lyons La Foret in a period cottage.

Fabulous position in a lovely small town. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Owners were welcoming and breakfast was great.

Missed out a lot by not being able to chat to the owners more. Our fault as we should have more knowledge of the language but don't let it put you off. It's a great stay.

Betty and Eric are great hosts and did us a lovely meal in the evening and a really good breakfast in the morning. The house is a lovely period property and very interesting. Parking across the street is handy. The village is really pretty with lots of properties with interesting history which was available in the room to read.

The room was very clean and the hosts were very friendly. Breakfast was nice and fresh, but not vert rich.

The room is quite noisy since it faces directly the street, and you can hear the hosts talking from the next room since you are basically sharing the house with them. There was not enough hot water at the end of the day to take a shower. There are also advertisements for things that are on sale throughout the room, which may make you feel like you are living inside a shop.

Hébergement de charme dans un endroit très pittoresque.

L'accueil réservé par Betty était d'emblée du plus chaleureux ! Il s'agit ici d'une véritable chambre d'hôte, au sens étymologique du terme : vous logez chez l'habitant, sous le même toit, mais dans une vaste chambre (en réalité une double chambre avec séjour) tout à fait individuelle, avec sa salle de bain privative. La maison est mignonne à croquer et se situe à quelques minutes de marche à pied du centre de Lyons-la-Forêt. Le séjour était un ravissement de chaque instant, y compris au petit-déjeuner, servi dans la salle à manger du couple.
