Fun adventure in Wales with the best accommodation

The property was ever so cosy and decorated lovely and had everything we needed plus much much more. The hot tub was fabulous and just what we needed after climbing Pen-e-fan. We visited a couple of the pubs in the village during our stay and the locals were so so friendly and we had great fun dancing and singing with them…and to top it off the owners of the air B&B left out a lovely little hamper and birthday card with some chocolates….what a great place,,

Overall lovely calming stay

Loved the location & hottub. The bedding sheets and pilllws were super cosy, heating works well and the rainfall showerhead was lovely. Very clean and tidy. We went over new year so had christmas decorations and they had even left us things like bread & milk which were lovely. Really friendly host. Local pub & chinese were great!

There were just a couple of small things, the toilet seat was broken, the mattress was extremely hard for us, we prefer soft (personal preference & each to their own) The sofa are asthetically pleasing but not the type to comfortably relax in after a day of hiking. And we also felt it was dog tolerant as opposed to dog friendly, usual things like no dogs on furniture (doesnt bother us as ours had his crate) but you cant use the bins for dog poo - you need to walk it to the high street bins. And we were also asked to leave £25 cash for the dog when we left but feel that should be in with the original booking fee - we never carry cash anymore. Despite these things we would stay again, especially now we know what to expect.

Perfect place to stay in Llandovery

My second stay at Bwthyn y Porthmyn and it was just as good as the first. A fantastic little cottage, fully equipped with everything you need for a stay in beautiful Llandovery. I'll be booking again when I'm next in town!

Perfect little cottage for a stay in Llandovery

Amazing cottage in a great location in town. Such a cosy and comfy place with all the facilities needed for a stay. I was there for 10 nights and immediately booked another!

Ideal location for those who want to go away for hikes and stay near breacon beacons

Absolutely gorgeous beams, the bed was super comfy and the location was perfect for me and my partner as it was near breacon beacon plenty of walks. The best part was they provided us with fresh milk, bread and butter, along with some other things.

Unfortunately the only downsize to the property was that the hot tub was extremely loud and it wasnt very peaceful when having the jets on, we stayed in for the first 5 mins and got out. Also, the road was very busy at night (not the owners fault) but some people drive like absolute hooligans and when my car was parked on the side of the road did make me feel a bit uneasy.

A home from home.

Loved the decor of the cottage, super clean and the welcome hamper was excellent. Loved the hot tub after been out for a walk with the dog was just the ticket to wind down and relax.

Perfect stay!

Everything was perfect! The house was very clean and fresh. The entire property has been renovated and looks brilliant. The hot tub was excellent, and you have everything you need for your stay. The owners kindly left a hamper with cereals, coffee, biscuits, bread, milk and more, which made us feel very welcome. The area is quiet, and the town has shops, cafés, restaurants, and takeaway options. Our stay was perfect, and we highly recommend this property to everyone. Drive around and explore the stunning Brecon Beacons mountains, with plenty of scenic routes to enjoy.

Lovely property, clean and spacious. Good use of facilities and a cute little welcome pack made it special. The fans at the property were a life saver!

Highly Recommend

We felt very lucky to be welcomed by Bwthyn Y Porthmyn for our honeymoon. The hosts left some lovely touches which made it extra special. The accommodation itself is so well set up. The location is perfect for exploring and being able to enjoy a meal or drink out and a walk home. It was so comfortable we spent an entire day doing absolutely nothing, just enjoying the house. Would highly recommend!

Really enjoyed our stay in the cottage and in Llandovery.

Well presented cottage with everything we needed for short stay. Hot tub was a real bonus. Llandovery is a lovely little town, perfectly placed for exploring both the Cambrian mountains and the Brecon Beacons.

Parking on street was a bit difficult if you arrived in the evening but still managed to find space.

Absolutely everything. The perfect cosy cottage. Felt at home from the start. Great facilities, location, comfortable, the welcome hamper was a lovely touch and the hot tub was great after long days of walking. Will be coming back again and will be recommending to friends and family xx

This was a quite exceptional stay. The cottage is very well equipped, the "welcome pack" was a very nice touch - it was well thought out and generous. Everything worked and worked well. The outside courtyard space with hot tub was altogether enjoyable. We had no problems with parking, shops and restaurants are in walking distance. Llandovery is an attractive place and made a good centre for the places we wanted to visit.
