Lovely location - close to the river, with very good braai and outdoor seating areas. The mobile phone signal was optimal for communication. We really enjoyed the birds, especially the resident "piet-my-vrou".
The unit is right next to the veranda of the neighbors, which really bothered us early in the mornings. A deep clean (beyond the expected rustic spider webs and goggas) and new pillows (or at least pillow protectors) on the beds is suggested. The thatching needs a good service to reduce the insect/bat crawling sounds, which scared the children at night.

The place is nice and big for a family holiday. It is clean and smells fresh. Has a beautiful view, enjoyed sundowners with an amazing sunset.
It needs better /more lighting outside. It’s so beautiful that you want to sit outside, but it’s too dark. The open plan bed situation upstairs, it makes the space cluttered.

The river is the best feature .. clean and clear rapid waters and safe pools for kids to swim
The property is quite older than pictures portray , toaster was not working, oven tray was rusty and the gas heater had no gas inside. The interior is quite run down and could be improved for the money you pay per night comparing to other accommodation
