Imbabali Retreat & Venue

Breakfast was good. The sausage was a bit sour. Chicken livers were excellent

Bathroom was very small and uncomfortable to move around. Struggled to walk around main bed. Bed is too big for the main room. Kitchen very cluttered with all the appliances. Unit was very cold in the mornings. Couches very uncomfortable and difficult for my mom to stand up from. No curtain or blind in front of sliding door meant no privacy in the unit. Lighting very bad in the living room couldn't read a book. Unit was clean and the bedding is of a very good quality and very comfortable. Very good scenery and sunset.

Owner helped integrate the dogs so that was very nice.

The location is excellent. A very tranquil farm with so much greenery and a small lake that adds to the sense of peace.

It would have been good to know beforehand that the restaurant is open on weekends only.

The views. The bird life. The jumping fish. The staff were very friendly and good at their jobs.

There is no solid roof over the veranda which makes that you are stuck inside when it rains and it rained a lot. The door was leaking in rain terribly. Very small bathroom and a severely rusted, cheap shower head. We had to buy one and change it while we were there. The people in the other 2 chalets were very noisy and did not respect our privacy. They should really put up some sort of screen between the houses. They say it is a retreat which it is not. People were shouting over the dam at each other right in front of our house. And their children ran around screaming. We went for the peace and quiet, away from people and that is not what we got.
