The hostel is well located in a calmer neighborhood of Kathmandu. The staff is friendly, and the food is tasty. Price-to-quality-wise, definitely a good option! The breakfast is very basic, but still a nice addition for the little price we paid. There is a nice collection of books in multiple languages (Dutch, English, French, etc.). Both fiction and non-fiction.

The Wi-Fi didn't work in our room (a private room on the first floor).

A spacious, multi-level hostel with decent dorms, comfortable communal areas and a rooftop area good for drying laundry and a view of the city. The entire property is kept quite clean and tidy. The included breakfast (0800-1000; omelette, 2 pieces of toast, jam and black tea or coffee) is the same each day, but I enjoyed and appreciated it. There is a secure storeroom at reception where you can leave excess luggage (free of charge) while trekking.  Provin (the owner) is a kind and generous person who is always willing to help in any way he can. He has extensive experience in both the hospitality and trekking industries, so can provide plenty of information (in English). It is a short walk from the hostel to multiple restaurants, shops, large convenience stores and ring-road buses.

The concept is good, the property is located at a great spot. They have a nice simple complimentary breakfast .That's where the goodness ends.

There are unsaid rules and the staff is not so friendly, cleanliness isn't a priority. 1- No one opened the gate for me to atleast enter the property and relax. I was dropped off in Kathmandu early, around 4:30pm. I came to the hostel as they have advertised 24 hour reception. But, there was no response to calls / messages until almost 7am. I was waiting at a tea shop thankfully that was open else i would have been waiting on the road on a rainy day. 2- The washrooms are not clean and not maintained. The rooms are also not cleaned. 3- If you go for a bunk bed, you better carry a portable fan, as there are mosquitoes, and the liquid provided by them doesn't look real. 4- Deadline to return by 10pm else the gate won't be opened. 5- No Credit Card Payment, you need to pay cash. The place was built for a great ambiance and also met a few cool travellers, they too had the same complaint. It felt like a well decorated jail.
