A spacious, multi-level hostel with decent dorms, comfortable communal areas and a rooftop area good for drying laundry and a view of the city. The entire property is kept quite clean and tidy. The included breakfast (0800-1000; omelette, 2 pieces of toast, jam and black tea or coffee) is the same each day, but I enjoyed and appreciated it. There is a secure storeroom at reception where you can leave excess luggage (free of charge) while trekking.  Provin (the owner) is a kind and generous person who is always willing to help in any way he can. He has extensive experience in both the hospitality and trekking industries, so can provide plenty of information (in English). It is a short walk from the hostel to multiple restaurants, shops, large convenience stores and ring-road buses.

I had a purpose to be in Kathmandu, then the location was walking distance for me! There was basic breakfast from 8am, I appreciated🥚 There is no information about wifi in this website, however no worries, wifi can work well except for blackout. Wifi is a bit unstable to do videocall, it’s like 80% is fine- 20% frozen or cut off sometimes.

Staffs are unpredictable😅 When I asked about wifi in advance by message, NO reply😫 but once I came here, another staff gave me wifi information friendly. However when I asked about laundry service, another stuff made a clearly unhappy and was unhelpful. In conclusion, staff hospitality depends on person, depends on timing…

Very affordable, comfortable, good hostel. Clean enough. Nice owner and staff, flexible and friendly. It’s the third time I stay here.

Toilet doesn’t always flush, hot water isn’t always there and cigarette smoke often goes inside the room. But these are small things, they don’t matter for such a low price.

The room is really excellent and the facilities are also great. Location being out of the city is nice, all very clean, and wonderful chill space.

Because we were there in low season, there was a small party of all the staff and friends outside our window being very loud, singing, laughing, playing instruments from 12/1am - 5am both nights so we got no sleep at all. The second night we came out at 4am to politely let them know that we were trying to sleep and had to wake up for a long jeep ride at 5am. It was miserable. They laughed, poked fun, and continued on until we left. My girlfriend stayed a week in high season and it was totally different… she had a great stay. Also, there’s no AC or fan in the summer heat. Hate to give a low review because it was otherwise great, but that sort of thing isn’t acceptable… Probably still recommend to anyone during the regular season or if you don’t need sleep at night.
