Awesome Balboa and Downtown View with Cozy Patio

I loved that the apartment was really clean with secure coded access to the complex, to each tower in the building and for each apartment. It felt really safe, especially with the office being manned during the day too. It was great to be right across the road from Balboa Park and within walking distance (~20-30 mins) to downtown, the waterfront, and both Ralphs and Wholefoods grocery stores. Also super easy access to public transport and never had to wait more than 5 minutes for an Uber. Staying 2 weeks, it was also great to have laundry facilities on site (quarters needed) and a decent sized terrace outside. Lovely and helpful staff.

The apartment is higher than downtown and under the flight path for incoming planes so during the day it is noisy with planes passing low overhead very frequently, but being out most days it wasn't an issue. After 9pm it seemed to get quieter and I never heard any overnight. There is a main road outside which is busy during the day but the area is quiet in the evenings. Earplugs had been left by the bed and were appreciated. Other than the fridge, there's no space for food storage and the counter space is really small so it's more suitable for shorter stays or if you're planning on eating out a lot. The freezer didn't keep things frozen but maybe there was a setting I didn't see.

Staff as Good as it gets! Traveled to over 20 countries and hundreds of hotels etc.

The only issue is the plane noise airport.
